Uncaria rhynchophylla of Jianhe is the national geographical indications protection product. Taking several different kinds of introduced uncaria of Uncaria rhynchophylla of Jianhe base, Jianhe county as research object, this paper has carried on thorough investigation and research on Uncaria’s agronomic characters, photosynthetic physiological characteristics, medicinal component content and seed germination characteristics. This paper has also initially selected out Uncaria rhynchophylla of Jianhe with advantageous traits for the future affirmation. Uncaria rhynchophylla of Jianhe is the most widely prompted and planted source in Jianhe county. The following are the main research results:1. By comparing four different kinds of uncaria including Uncaria sinensis, Uncaria hirsuta, Uncaria rhynchophylla and Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe. Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe stands out for enjoying healthy plant, broad tree body, long tree branches hook, more hook number, big hook size and high double hooks rate. The longest branch grows to 10 metres. It is quadrangular, smooth and glabrous. The axil have double hooks or single hook. The leaves are alternate, petiolate and ovate leaf blade. The axillaris has pink thin pubescent. Seedling of this kind stands uprightly and opens in three years with its canes and branches crossed together and its branch angles are big. Annual main branch is dark green, slightly reddish brown and the leaf is green, occasionally reddish brown. It takes two years to produce branch and another one year to shape. Its stem branches are cylindershaped with from 1 to 3 cm long and diameter of section from 0.3 to 0.4 cm. And its oval leaves are large with from 10 to15 cm long and from 5 to 10 cm wide. Besides.Those hooks are from 1 to 2 cm long whose tips are sharp gradually or curl inward. Its slightly rounded stem base is from 0.2 to 0.2 cm thick, light but qualitative hard.2.We strengthened research on ecophysiological character- istics growing development of Uncaria sinensis, Uncaria hirsuta, Uncaria rhynchophylla and Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe. By using a Li-6400 XT portable photosynthesis system, this paper studied the ecophysiological characteristics of photosynthesis-transpiration coupling of the striata during daily variation. The results showed that: Pn shows significant positive linear correlation with Tr and presented a good linear coupling with photosynthesis-transpiration of uncaria striata during daily variation. The regression lines of PAR-Pn and PAR-Tr, Gs-Pn and Gs-Tr, Tl-Pn and Tl-Tr, Ci-Pn and Ci-Tr are similar to each other. Both Pn and Tr showed a Different degrees of dependence on PAR, Gs,Tl and Ci, with PAR being the main factor affecting Pn and Tr.3. To determine the rhyncopylline(Rhy) and isorhyncophylline(Isorhy),s content of the seven types individual plants as Uncaria rhynch ophylla(Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe, Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of shibing,Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of kaiyang,Field grown Uncaria rhynchophylla,Uncariarhynchophylla of jianhe), Uncaria sinensis and Uncaria hirsute. The results showed that the rhynchphylla totalalkaloids,s content of the Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe is 0.5510mg/g,the Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of shibing is 0.4641mg/g,the Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of kaiyang is 0.4180mg/g, the Uncaria hirsute is 0.4171mg/g.the Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe is 0.3842mg/g,the Field grown Uncaria rhynchophylla is 0.2744mg/g, the Uncaria sinensis, related components undetected.4.To determine production of Uncaria rhynchophylla(Wild Uncariarhynchophylla of jianhe, Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of shibing, Wild uncaria rhynchophylla of kaiyang, Field grown Uncaria rhynchophylla,Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe), the results show that branch average yield of Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe is 5.15 kg each plant, leaves average yield is 8.50 kg each plant, Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe,sbranch average yield is 3.42 kg each plant, leaves average yield is 4.50 kg each plant, branch average yield of Uncaria rhynchophylla of shibing is 2.83 kg each plant, leaves average yield is 3.33 kg each plant, Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of kaiyang,s bran ch average yield is 3.17 kg each plant, leaves, average yield is 2.50 kg each plant, Field grown Uncaria rhynchophylla,s branch average yield is 2.00 kg each plant, leaves averageyield is 2.50 kg each plant.5. According to the relative importance of individual Uncaria rhynchophylla,s comprehensive index give different weighted coefficien, using weight score compare method compared the Uncaria sinensis, the Uncaria hirsute, the Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe and the Uncariarhynchophylla of jianhe, the results show that the Uncaria Rhynchophylla of jianhe(95) > the Wild Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe(89) > the Uncaria hirsute(87) > the Uncaria sinensis(80), the Uncaria rhynchophylla of jianhe with good comprehensive characters marked superior individual.6.Float breeding is the most reasonable approach, by filtrating different way of seedling, To compare therate of survival, root systemand growing.By the way of the, float breeding It was begun to germinate after 45 days and the germination rate is more than 95%. Seedlings had the best growth vigour, when the water temperature of floating tray is 24℃ and the air dampness is 45%.
