Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis is a precious and rare edible fungus which has aromatic flavor, delicious, and high nutritional value and high medicinal value, economic value and good market prospects. It is favored by consumers and manufacturers. But Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis has a long growth cycle, its yield is not high which has plagued by many producers. At present, studies on Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis focuses on environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity and air. However, effect of light on the biological characteristics of Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis has few research reports.1. Under the blue, white and red light conditions, Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis mycelium can formed primordia. The different light intensities and time had a significant influence on primordia formation of Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis.2. According to the time and the number of Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis primordia, it can determine the strength of light quality on primordia’s differentiation ability. Experiments showed that the optimal time and the number of the primordia: blue light intensity was 1000Lx, light illumination time were 12 hours, the formation time and the number of primordia were 13 days and 50; white were 1000Lx and 9 hours, the time of the primordia formation were 14 days and the number of primordia were 47; red were 1000Lx,6 hours, the formation time and the number of primordia were 16 days and 27.3. Effects of different light qualities on Pleurotus eryngii war. tuoliensis yield had significant difference. In the blue light group, blue light irradiated Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis fruting bodies which obtained the highest yield (193.13g), white and red light followed by 188.89g and 172.90g; the light intensity of illumination were 2000Lx, blue light illumination time were 9 hours, that of white and red light for 12 hours. In the white light group, blue light irradiated Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis fruting bodies which obtained the highest yield (187.91g), yied of white and red light was 179.27,178.31g respectively; the light intensity of illumination were 2000Lx, blue LED light illumination time were 12 hours, that of white and red light were 9 hours. In the red light group, blue light promoted that yield of the fruiting bodiesincreased to 184.OOg, followed by white light as 175.40g and red light as 172.90g, the illumination intensity and illumination time of blue and white were 2000Lx,12 hours; that of red light were 1000Lx and 6 hours.4. Different light quality had different effects on mushroom shapes, the effect of blue light on Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis mushroom shape was smaller, red was larger, white was center. In the blue and white light group, stipe length was larger by red light treatment, but in the red light group, stipe length was larger by white light treatment. There was a certain correlation with yield and cap, the cap was larger, the yield was higher, the cap and yield by blue light treatment was higher than that by white and red light treatment. Stipe diameter in different group was determinated by different light quality. Different light intensity had effect on the pileus, stipe, yield, stem diameter and stipe perimeter. The light intensity of 1000Lx and 2000Lx were higher than others, different irradiation time had significant effect on the yield. In summary, blue light induced primordia formation of Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis was better with light intensity as 1000Lx, irradiation time as 12 hours. The optimum conditions of fruiting body growth was blue with 2000Lx and 9 hours.
