As the rich landscape and beautiful ecological environment of forest are attracting more and more visitors. This article is a research to Sanzhualun National Forest Park. By applying the theories and methods of landscape ecology, forestry and forest aesthetics and field surveys, it analyses the present situation and the dynamic changes of landscape pattern and evaluates aesthetic quality of landscape, with the purpose of providing better understanding of its landscape and reference for its improvement. The results are as follows:(1) According to the databases of Sanzhualun National Forest Park in 2004 and 2009 Forest Resource Inventory, the research area is divided into eight kinds of forest landscape types. It is dominated by Chinese fir forest, bamboo forest and broadleaved mixed forest by analyzing the data of 2009. Its average patch area is 12.25hm2. The patch smaller than 10hm2 accounts for 56.45%. The average fragmentation of area is 0.082/hm2. The average fragmentation of economic forest is 0.252/hm2 which is the highest. Landscape diversity index is 1.557, and evenness index 0.749, the richness 0.75, the dominance 0.552. Overall, the research area with a higher landscape fragmentation and a lower diversity.(2) From 2004 to 2009, the area is dominated by Chinese fir forest, bamboo forest and broadleaved mixed forest all along, however, the number of patch increased 16, the coverage decreased 222.6hm2, the degree of fragmentation increased 0.003/hm2, patch size reduced 0.45hm2, landscape diversity index decreased 0.062 and evenness index decreased 0.03. The research area tended to fragmentize.(3) This article makes an evaluation to different landscape elements in the research area through SBE method. The result shows that the distance of perspective in forest, the remainder of logging, the height of shrub, the coverage of understory and diversity of species are of high co-relationship with scenic beauty of the forest landscape. And the average beauty value of the bamboo forest is higher than that of other landscape forests.
