Since the reform and opening up, animal husbandry of China has a stable development for more thirty-year, the output of which has accounted for more than 30% of the rural economy. In recent years, major animal epidemic occur frequently in the world, including the BSF disease, the Avian Flu, the Salmonella eggs, the Clenbuterol event and the E. coli outbreak. The complexity of animal epidemics spread increases the difficulty of disease control. Governments have successively related legislation demanding for the whole food supply chain traceability system of animals and animal products from production to consumption. However in many developed countries, if it has no trace condition, the food will be strictly forbidden to enter the market.In order to achieve full traceability of pork products all the way, a traceability system, consisting of RFID tags, reader, antenna, server and information terminal, was established using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology as information carrier, based on network communication technology (such as GPRS, ADSL or WI-FI), system integration and the application of database technology to realize interconnection. The system was mainly composed of pig farm information terminal, slaughterhouse information terminal, sales information terminal, consumer queries terminal, administrative monitoring layer terminal, network management terminal and server terminal. And it could record information all the way and do the traceability queries for consumers upstream or downstream in each link of the whole pig industry chain from feed processing, epidemic prevention, health care, slaughtering, processing and transportation to storage.In the research, pork product traceability system was built, including the construction of each subsystem, the core technology and the study of the software architecture of the traceability system. The building of each subsystem, including breed, transportation, slaughter, marketing and terminal link, had a comprehensive analysis. The core technology of pork products traceability system were individual identification technology of breeding link, coding and identification of slaughtering link, identification of pork in supermarket sales, and discuss the problem of convergence among the key sectors identified, data integration technology and system operation.Based on the application examples of pork products traceability system in Rongchang Animal Husbandry Bureau and Jufeng company, traceability system had the functions of identity authentication, increasing the transparency of consumption and sales management information to realize the monitoring of integral chain from the field to the table and to constantly meet the strong desire of the government and the vast of consumers.With the development of globalization and internet technology, the application of the internet of things is becoming increasing popular. The use of pork products traceability system makes the quality and safety of national pork products gearing to international standards and enhancing the Chinese competitiveness in international trade.
