By some testing in recent years, the "Dongnong No.1" was planted successfully in Heilongjiang which is located in the cold area. With time going on, the planting acreage increased year by year. The researches on application of the "Dongnong No.1" increased, which were mostly foucs on cold resistance breeding, physiological and biochemical characteristics, and however the value assessment of wheat planted in cold area was still blank. In view of the special physiological environment of high altitude of winter wheat growth, there are many differences between spring wheat and winter wheat as food. The purpose of this paper was to study the nutrition value of wheat which was planted in cold area based on CNCPS system and rumen degradation, comparing with corn and spring wheat.Dongnong No.1 had the lowest DM(90.22%) than corn and spring wheat(P>0.005). The content of crude fat(EE) was significantly lower than that of spring wheat and corn(P<0.05). For crude protein(CP), Dongnong No.1 was 17.51%, lower than that of CP content in spring wheat, but higher than CP content in corn. Soluble protein(SP) content of Dongnong No.1 was 22.46%, being lower than spring wheat and however higher than corn(P<0.05). Non-protein nitrogen(NPN) content ranged49.40%~21.84% with 29.29% for Dongnong No.1in middle and lowest for spring wheat(P<0.05). The sort of neutral detergent fiber(NDF) content was corn <Dongnong No.1 < spring wheat group, being17.51% for Dongnong No.1. However sort of acid detergent fiber(ADF) content was corn group <spring wheat < Dongnong No.1, For lignin(ADL) content, Dongnong No.1 was 6.60%, higher than spring wheat and corn. For CNCPS items, there were no significant differences between winter wheat and spring wheat, and also corn for PA(P>0.05). Value of PB1 was greater than corn, but lower than spring wheat. However, PC content of winter wheat was minimum for corn and spring wheat. For CNCPS carbohydrate composition, values of CNSC and CA of winter wheat were higher than that of spring wheat(P<0.05), and however. However CB1 value was lowest one, and CB2 and CC values were also。From the rumen degradation experiments, it was observed that the degradation situation of DM,CP and NDF in the rumen was not significantly different(P>0.05) between winter wheat and spring wheat. Meanwhile, for ED of DM, CP and NDF, no significant difference was observed between the two kinds of wheat. However, for degredation parameter c of CP and NDF, Dongmai No.1 was higer than spring wheat. In conclusion, "Dongnong No.1" had different nrtrient value from spring wheat(P<0.05).
