In this paper,11 appropriate parents were screened out of the 59 core material from Hunan Province Cotton Research Institute by molecular marker technology.Based on heterosis prediction reports on field crops like corn, soybeans, rice,28 Flcrosses(7×4) were designed by NC II Genetic mating from this 11 parents.The research provided a reference for breeding heterosis cotton varietiesby collecting their main agronomic traits of Field trials and calculating the combining ability between the parents. The main findings were presented as follows:1.The genetic relationship diagram of 59 core material from Hunan Province Cotton Research Institute was built.We conduct the 59 core materials experimentby using 115 pairs of SSR primers and get the 59 genetic relationship diagram of the core material.2.Hybridization experiment was carried out of the 11 parents materials.No.13,17,19,20, 27,30,38,39,42,52,54.of the core material match S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S10, S11 in this experiment respectively. Seven materials(S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7) were selected as the female parent (P1 group) materials.Another 4 materials(S8, S9, S10, S11)were selected as a male parent (P2 group) materials, they are inherited by NC II mating design group with (7 x 4)for the preparation of 28 crosses.3.By calculating combining ability of computing 11 of parent material, the general and specific combining ability of 11 cotton strains were assessed in 40 hybrids using an incomplete diallel analysis.The data(boll number per plant, single boll weight, seed cotton yield,lint yield, lint percent, specific strength, micronaire, extensibility and length uniformity) has been collected. The analysis oncharacters of the crosses indicated that S4、 S6、S9、S11 had higher GCA while S1×S9、S1×S10、S3xS8、S4xS9、S6×S11、S9×S10 had higher SCA.Plus, The correlation analysis indicated that there was little correlation of yield and quality, preferable correlation between lint weight and yield in yield traits.
