A Study On Occurrence And Control Of Major Pests Walnut In Baoji

To promote the development of the walnut industry in Baoji City and make the brand of "Baoji walnut" bigger and stronger,we spread the high quality of organic walnut and increase the farmers’ stable income.This essay is written from the general aspect of organic food, walnut industry development at domestic and abroad, the development of Baoji walnut, and the prevention of pests and diseases in baoji area. According to these basis, we study the major control trends of organic walnut’s pests and diseases,so achieved the following results.(1) Baoji walnut has 38 major pest species.It includes 12 kinds of diseases and 26 kinds of pests; Baoji walnut major diseases is on branch and cadres.The pest species are mostly harm to the blade. Among them, walnut rot, black spot walnuts, walnut Atrijuglans and lateral grooves are major Baoji walnut’s pests and diseases.(2) Proved the occurrence rules of four major pests and diseases in Baoji(walnut rot, black spot walnuts, wainut Atrijuglans, walnut transverse grooves).(3)The main pests and diseases of Baoji walnut have the three following characteristics: first, after the frost-prone,the diseases are easy to happen; the second is the heavy and concentrated rainfall are easily lead to diseases and pests; the third is the old area walnut pest species are more than new area.(4) We have a special compare expriment for the four kinds of pests and disease.The comprehensive program A is a organic prevention.It can treat organic pollution to the environment and easy to decompose without residue, will not produce injury, harmless to humans and animals and pests do not develop resistance, long-term use and other characteristics; the program B:the chemical are harm to environment, toxic to humans and animals, some chemicals products are difficult to decompose and easy to produce injury, also the long-term useing will produce pest resistance; comprehensive program C is not a prevention.It does play a major role in the contrast.It shows that organic prevention effect is better than chemical control; without prevention,walnut pests and diseases are easy to happen,the damage index is high.(5) In the Baoji walnut’s pest control, the native areas’ s walnut pests control level is generally low.Most of the new walnut parks take chemical methods to control pests and disaeases.The organic control methods have not been widely used yet. We should pay attention to the future development of the walnut industry and the promotion of organic control techniques.
