The Community Survey And Protection Measures Of Xanthocyparis Vietnamensis And Its Conservative Measures Of Mulun National Nature Reserve,Guangxi

By used the line and sample survey to population distribution,habitat characteristics, community characteristics of Xanthocyparis vietnamensis Farjon&Hiep,not only to reveal the endangered reasons of X. vietnamensis and but also relevant protective measures for Mulun National Natural Reserve.The X. vietnamensis is distribution on the west and north of the upgrade of the Karst, the range of east longitude 107°56’57"～108。0’26",north latitude 25°06’53"～25°09’26", the elevation is 730～826 m, the slope is 10°～60°, the bare rock ate is 85%～95%,and the crown density is 40%～85%. Soil thickness for 3 to5cm only is found in the gap of rock. The porosity of rock very developed, not can remain water, abnormal dryness of the top of the mountain.There are 31 individuals of X.vietnamensis by investigated on 6 sample area, only 2 seedlings, accounting of 6.45%, younger is zero, small is 21, accounting of 67.74%, the medium and larger is 4,accounting of 12.90%. The population size class structure show ’∧". The population smaller are more, but the seedlings, young trees, medium trees and larger are less, the whole group of population is decline type.Some comparison in the community these X. vietnamensis have 31 strains average height is 4.07m, the tree layer average height is 3.83 m have 31 species 319 strains, the shrub layer have 12 species 99 strains, the herb layer have 10 species 75 strains. The X. vietnamensis average height than the tree layer, Indicates that the community is karst mountain coppice community of tree layer as the main body, The features is liking the sun of small high plant,ecological niche mainly in the tree layer.The endangered reasons of X. vietnamensis have habitat harsh, human disturbance, their genetic factors, combination of these factors makes it’s population are very rare, these trees need to be carefully protected. In order to protect this endangered species,We carry out protective measures including in situ and moved protection,longer publicity and education, to carry out the relevant scientific research, perfect laws and regulations and increase the protection funds.
