With the rapid developmemt of goose raising industry in liaoning province, and the frequent emerging of Salmonella bacteria disease in avian, more and more attention was paid to prevent and control this pathogen in numerous goose breeding farm. Even though, so far, there are few studies on the occurrence and development of goose salmonella in Liaoning province. In this study, we selected six goose breeding farms in Liaoning province, and picked 20-30 geese randomly per farm, collected total of 164 goose blood samples and cloacal swabs, then conducted the rapid detection to blood samples using salmonella polyvalent antigen plate. The collected cloacal swabs were used for cultivate base isolation and identification, biochemical identification, PCR and serum type detection. Sequently, we dectected and analyzed the drug resistance of the isolated salmonella strains.Results are listed as follows:1.118 geese carried salmonella antibody were detected from 164 blood samples, with the 72% detection rate.2.63 strains with Salmonella identification culture medium character were screened from 164 goose cloacal swabs.26 strains with biochemical characteristics of Salmonella strains were identified.3.12 strains carried the invA gene of Salmonella strains were detected, which including a paratyphoid salmonella (3 strains), type B paratyphoid salmonella (1 strain), C paratyphi Salmonella strains(3 strains) and Salmonella Thompson (1 strain), Debbie Shamen S bacteria (1 strain), Argonne Nashamenshi bacteria (2 strains), Salmonella typhimurium (1 strain), respectively. Of those, one strain carried Salmonella enterotoxin STN gene.4. Most above isolated strains have strong resistance to penicillin, amoxicillin, forest to kanamycin, tetracycline, metronidazole, sulfamethoxazole Ming, and have strong sensitivity to cefoperazone, gentamicin, kanamycin, polymyxin B.This study shows that most goose breeding farms have been encountered the salmonella infection in liaoning province, and with the emerging of more resistant strains. Suggested that should build reasonable feeding and management system, reduce the use of antibiotic, and pay attention to monitoring goose salmonella carriers. The results can provide the basis for clinical treatment of goose salmonellosis.
