In view of these problems of fertilizer were used unreasonable and inefficiency on alfalfa production in Tumochuan plains, this application research of the formula fertilization on Caoyuan No.2 alfalfa(Medicago varia cv. caoyuan No.2) production was carried out in two experimental zone in Helin Shengle Zone and Shaerqin Country. "3414" fertilization experiment design was used to fertilizer application scheme, the chemical fertilizer was used as seed manure, the mixture of "water soluble fertilizer" and " bacterial manure" was applied at the alfalfa first mowing in second year. By means of the determination of analysis to the alfalfa growth relevant indicators,include of the ground biomass, chlorophyll content, forage yield and forage quality etc, under different fertilizer levels on 1-2 years, the optimal formula and optimum amount of application of NPK fertilizer of alfalfa were studied in these experimental zone,and the changes of soil nutrients before and after planting and the economic benefits of fertilizer application were analyzed, the results are as follows:1. To alfalfa growth in the first year, the optimum amount of application of NPK fertilizer respectively are urea 75kg, heavy calcium superphosphate 135 kg and potassium sulfate 135kg per hectare, and urea 75kg, heavy calcium superphosphate 105 kg and potassium sulfate 135kg per hectare in Helin Shengle Zone and Shaerqin Country.2. To alfalfa growth in the second year, the economic amount of application of NPK fertilizer are urea 39.7kg, heavy calcium superphosphate 4.2kg per hectare, and potassium sulfate is not applied in Helin Shengle Zone,and urea 41.8 kg, potassium sulfate 42.1kg per hectare and heavy calcium superphosphate is not applied in Shaerqin Country3. There are significantly improve the forage protein, total phosphorus and content of fiber and significantly increase to soil nitrogen and sulfur content,when the urea, potassium sulfate, heavy calcium superphosphate were applied reasonable...
