Corn is the major food crop in China. As the shortages of rural labour and raise of costs, it is of great significant in emancipate rural labour and saving costs to promote the corn harvesting implements and breeding a batch of corn hybridized combinations, which is suitable for harvesting mechanization. Therefore, in current study, the population improvement line which was constructed by early maturing maize inbred line from domestic and foreign, and the Germang American Asian I parents (the male and female parent) were used to perform early generation side test. A total of 21 indicators involving in the plant height, ear height, moisture content of bracts in harvest period and more, were detected for selecting the good hybrid conbinations and evaluating its related indicators. Our work will lay the foundation for the future mechanization of corn cultivation. Main results for this study are as follows:(1) 9,19 and 25 excellent hybridized combinations were respectively selected from the generation of F1, F2 and F3 based on an integrated analysis of PC A and CV.(2) Variation analysis of main agronomic characters in Fl, F2, F3 generation principal component load matrix, selected the coefficient of variation of the ear height in the three generation principal component loading matrix was smaller, and the main components of the second main components of the F1 generation and the second principal components of the F2 generation and the third main components of the F3 generation.(3) A total of 11 indicators (including ear height, spike position height coefficient, plant height, LAI, moisture content of seeds and bracts in harvest period, spike grain number, stem internodes breaking strength, growing period, stem internodes puncture strength and the number of bracts) that may effect the mechanization level of corn cultivation were determined by grey correlation degree analysis.
