As a product of crops,straws are important part of biomass.Our country is an agricultural country, the straw resource is very rich and the annual output is about 700 million tons.The straw resources of our country is mainly given priority to with rice straw, wheat straw and corn stover.The disposal way of the straw is mostly to burn it,but this will seriously destroy the ecological environment.So the problem of straw recycling is more and more obvious,it requires that straw recycling must has high mechanization level of operation.In view of the shortage and inefficient of straw harvest machinery,this paper has designed a self-propelled pickup, high stubble cutting device,it has made some improvements of harvest baling machine on the market.lt has designed a wide pickup to match with the header and used the cutter of harvest baling machine for secondary cutting of high stubble crops.In this paper, the advantage of the self-propelled pickup, high stubble cutting device is that,as a self-propelled pickup baler,it has smaller steering radius compared with the pull-type pickup baler and has better adaptability to field in the south areas.Also it can cut high stubble crops for the second time in order to increasing the recycling utilization of straws.This paper combines the characteristics of pickup baler machine at home and abroad,using the method of theoretical analysis,design calculation,virtual prototype technology and the field test to research the device.The research work mainly includes following aspects:(1)Having read vast amount of literature and summarized,the structure and working principle of spring-finger cylinder pickup collector was described,and the law of motion of the spring-finger was analyzed.The machine can work normally when it meet the condition that λ>1.The speed of the machine,the speed of the cylinder and the minimum clearance from the ground can also have effects on the work performance.(2)In accordance with the need of high moisture straw,this paper has designed the self-propelled pickup, high stubble cutting device based on the theory and practical experience,such as the width of spring-finger cylinder pickup collector,CAM guide,the length of spring-finger and the minimum clearance from the ground.In order to realize the reversal of the pickup collector,we have designed a gear mechanism. We have also designed a pulley to make the power transmission more reasonable.(3)We have used Pro-e to make three-dimensional model of the self-propelled pickup, high stubble cutting device to find out potential problems.Then input the three-dimensional model into the Adams to do the motion simulation of the trajectories, linear velocity, acceleration and torque of the shaft.The results showed that the device have meet the requirements of design.(4)We have made a field performance test of the self-propelled pickup, high stubble cutting device,and have designed a three factors three levels orthogonal test table.We also have analyzed the result of the field performance test with range analysis and variance analysis.The analysis results showed that:the performance of the device completely comply with the requirements of design.The primary and secondary factors which influenced the loss rate of collecting are the speed of the cylinder,the speed of the machine and the height of stubble.
