The Development And Utilization Of Carya Illinoensis Koch Of Ecological Restoration And Reconstruction In Southeast Of Chongqing

Chongqing karst rocky desertification area is a typical fragile ecological area, the ecological environment is affected by the nature and other external factors, which leads to many ecological crisis: drought, flood disasters, soil erosion, soil quality deterioration, land degradation, biodiversity reduction and so on. The rocky desertification of the land shows an increase of 2 percent annually in southwestern of China. The rocky desertification has aggravated the poverty of karst areas. Therefore, the control which will be carried out to the rocky desertification area is the urgent affairs of the region.In this study, the typical karst rocky desertification area of Chongqing —Xiushan as the background, according to the rocky desertification area in the fragile ecological environment characteristics, combined with the principles and requirements which in the process of the rocky desertification vegetation restoration and reconstruction, we has selected the plants that has strong adaptability and is suitable for planting in karst area to carry out our research of desertification control. By Carya illinoensis Koch introduction in different site conditions in the experimental area of cultivation test, we have tried to analyze the ecological adaptability of vegetation, survival rate, p Henological period and growth of plants, etc. At the same time, we preliminary study on the afforestation patterns which relate to Carya illinoensis Koch’s introduction and cultivation in the of karst rocky desertification area. what’s more, we have analyzed and introduced the development of Carya illinoensis Koch use status and prospects, which will provide support with respect to governance theory and technology of planting trees for Karst Rocky Desertification in southwest China.Through the comprehensive analysis of previous research results and field investigation,we have came to a conclusion that Carya illinoensis Koch can grow in karst rocky desertification area of Chongqing, so we can choose the Carya illinoensis Koch as a tool to help the ecological management and restoration of the rocky desertification.According to different site conditions, the forest land was divided into three different slope positions in the upper, middle and lower slopes, and the introduction and cultivation were carried out in the three slope positions. From the test results, it can be seen that Carya illinoensis Koch can survive in karst rocky desertification area, and can reach the normal index of growth; But we have seen that American hickory peach cultivation results significant difference in different site conditions, such as the difference of slope condition of soil fertility, soil thickness, light and moisture conditions, and so on. Integrated parts of the site conditions, the best central,, upside is next, the lower part of the worst.
