China’s biomass energy utilization technologies are developing rapidly. However, in China’s rural areas, each year a large number of crop straw remains idle. only a small part is used as a cooking, heating, and the most remaining crops are processed by the fire.It not only destroy the environment, but also is a waste of resources. In recent years, the popular burning pool in northern rural areas is a better solution to a large number of waste and incineration of crop straw, while improving the convenience of rural residential heating and the living environment. But the existing fuel pool built mostly by farmers experience, there is no reference to the theoretical basis and system standard, in the actual operation, which exists security risks, such as harmful gas leakage,combustion rate control properly, and low utilization rate of heat, and so on.The fuel tank heating system research has important social significance and practical value.During December 2015 to January 2016, a few of field investigations are carried out about the burning cave heating in the Zhan Yu county of Bai Cheng city. Researchers improved that the average indoor temperature of the burning cave heating houses is higher than that of the ordinary heating houses about 6~8 degrees, and its indoor temperature remains could be keeping at about 17 degree even though the outdoor temperature is about-20 degrees according to the analysis of the comparison between the burning cave heating houses and the ordinary heating houses.A preliminary idea is produced to determine the volume of the body of the burning cave based on volume method. First of all, heat load of the building should be calculated, then the fuel volume of each filler either should be determined, so the burning cave volume will be confirmed according to the distance between the top roof and the top layer of the fuel. The proportional relationship of the northern cold region should be about 1:4~1:5 after the ratio of the heating area and the total area of the room is ensured by example. The chimney height and the parameter of the cross sectional area is ultimately determined through the analysis of the flow law of the flue gas in pit, then a discussion of the flow resistance is put forward aiming at the wind conditions and the respective. Thermoregulation plate is used to control the run system of the burning heating pool and the exhausting smoking volume is controlled by adjusting the angle between the thermoregulation plate and the chimney axis. To guarantee the running control measures quantitatively, two kinds of adjustment models of the thermoregulation plate are proposed which include timing adjustment of everyday and real-time adjustment of changing temperature.Research shows that although it still has some problems to be improved perfectly, burning cave could improve the utilization of wasting crop straw, as well as improve the indoor environment at a very low cost for northern rural areas. Life quality of peasants is modified by comprehensive utilization of resources and waste.
