As a part of animal husbandry, cattle farm management is still based on the artificial management which reduces the efficiency of the dairy farm management.For the current context, the design of cattle farm management information system consists of two parts, the first part is the step number of cows by the wireless sensor network consisting of the collection, the amount of milk collection and milking controller automation control system; the second part is dairy cattle identification system which is based on radio Frequency identification(RFID) establishment.The hardware design of the system,the system designed pedometer based on Atmega48 core, pedometer module collects cows step-number information and transmits the data over the wireless sensor network to the host computer, the system designed milk sensor node controller based on Atmega128 core chip, the controller node performs a series of operations, milking controller in a wireless network also receiving a broadcast from the network aggregation node to complete the download parameters and cleaning operations. Then the system designed management node and sink node based on Atmega16 core chip for establishing cattle wireless sensor information collection and command broadcast network; in terms of cows recognition, the system has designed the identification system based on wireless data transmission module and the electronic tag reader, the cows wearing an electronic tag will be detected by reader, the wireless data transmission translates the number of cows wireless to the host computer to establish the database.For the software part, firstly the system has debugged the program of communication process of nRF24L01 module,including the SPI simulation debugging, single working mode sending and receiving, debugging work mode switching and the communication distance and communication power cosumation;secondly, the stsyem has completed the program design and debugging of pedometer sensor nodes, the program of pedometer sensor node includes step algorithm design,algorithm design, time calibration algorithm for low power design; the milking controller node program includes milk collection algorithm, the parameters download algorithm design, automatic cleaning algorithm design; the system has completed the sink node. Finally, the system has designed cattle farm management information system hierarchical wireless network, network model for farm management information system has been set up.
