Objective: To investigate the impact of hCG in on epidermal growth factor(EGF) in kidney tissue.Method: As experimental group,20male SD mice weighed300-350g were injectedhCG200IU/d for7days. As controls,20male SD mice weighed300-350g wereinjected saline at equal volume for7days. Then kidney tissue was taken fromeach mouse in both groups. We used Immunohistochemical staining to evaluatethe distribution of EGF in kidney and quantitative PCR (Q-PCR) to evaluatethe expression of EGF mRNA.Results: The Immunohistochemical section showed that after hCG injection thepositive rate of EGF in experimental group is significantly higher than thatin control group (P<0.01). However Q-PCR results showed no significantdifference between two groups (p>0.05). Suggesting hCG increase theconcentration of of EGF by maturing prepro-EGF not expressing EGF from thebeginning. Conclusions: Increased concentration of EGF may associate with hCG. But hCGaffected more on maturing prepro-EGF and secrecting EGF than expressing EGF from the beginning. |
