[Obiective]1. To analyze the effects of individualized medical nutrition therapy on the control ofblood glucose level and the influence of partial blood biochemical indexes, which canprovide a reference to the dietary of type2diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients.2. To assess the effects of individualized medical nutrition therapy on the cellularimmune function, which can provide a reference to the dietary of type2diabetes mellituspatients.3. To study the effects of individualized medical nutrition therapy on the infection ratein type2diabetes mellitus patients, which can provide an evidence-based medical basisfor their individualized therapy.[Methods]Totally100T2DM patients, from the NO.3cadre ward and the endocrinology unit ofthe second affiliated hospital of Xi ’an Jiaotong University during the period of January toJune in2013, were randomly divided into the experimental group (50cases) and the control group (50cases).2. The patients in experimental group were given comprehensive treatment ofdiabetes and individualized medical nutrition therapy for6months.Those in the controlgroup were given comprehensive treatment only at the same time. Theirblood biochemical indexes and cellular immunity markers were tested respectively in bothtwo groups before and after study.During the study, all the patients were followedmonthly for records of the infection condition.[Results]1. There were no statistical differences in the basic situation and the measurementindexes between the two groups. Compared with prostudy, the fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlC),total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG)were declined in experimental group after study (P<0.05), and the serum iron, folic acid, vitamin B12were increased significantly after study(P<0.05). Compared with the controlgroup,The FBG,HbAl C,TC,TG,Serum iron, folic acid, vitamin B12of experimentalgroup was the same trend at the end of study(P<0.05).2. There were no statistical differences in the cellular immunity markers between thetwo groups. The percentage of CD4+, CD4+/CD8+of experimental group weresignificantly higher than of themselves before study and of control group (P<0.05). Thepercentage of CD8+of experimental group was shorter after study and was the same trendthan that of control group (P<0.05). The lymphocyte count of experimental group was nodifference before and after study.3. The rates and the duration of fever, upper respiratory tract infections, lunginfections, urinary tract infection, periodontitis,Oral ulcers, skin infections and acutecholecystitis of experimental group were significantly reduced than that of control group(P<0.05) during study.[Conclusions]1. Individualized medical nutrition therapy can help the type2diabetic patients to adjust their blood glucose and blood lipid levels and improve the beneficial trace elementslevel.2. Individualized medical nutrition therapy can help the type2diabetic patients toimprove their immune function and enhance the ability of disease resistance.3. Individualized medical nutrition therapy can help the type2diabetic patients toshorten the duration of infection and reduce the rates of infection....
