| The acceleration of globalization promotes the increasingly frequent transnationalexchange of human resource and knowledge, which provide opportunities for highereducation, but there are challenges we should be aware of[1].Backgrounds: As medical information workers, it’s our mission to promote thedevelopment of medical science. It is still in its process of education reform and quite afew first-level disciplines of medicine are faced with arduous tasks in the reformation.Thus top-level design is badly needed, which brings urgent demand for informationrelated to education reform. Since International League for nursing and MedicalAssociation appeal to increase the quantity of nursing stuff, nurses’ schools anduniversities consisting of nursing department founded the cooperative Ph.D. programoutline jointly[2]. After analyzing information and combining with their work related tosub disciplines of medical science, medical information workers can supply creativethoughts for the top-level design.Objective: Putting forth effort to conduct reformation in nursing education is particularlyurgent, so nursing, the first-level discipline, was chosen as the related discipline to study.The University of Pennsylvania of Nursing ranks first many times over the world andFourth Military Medical University of Nursing is also well-known across the country. Sothey were chosen as studying object. Their information was analyzed and synthesized to get comprehensive results to promote education reform in Fourth Military MedicalUniversity of Nursing, and then to provide constructive suggestion.Results: both Fourth Military Medical University of Nursing and University ofPennsylvania of Nursing have long histories and do great contribution to thedevelopment of nursing education. They often exchange and cooperate in scientificresearch and education.After comparing information of two departments, superiority of University ofPennsylvania of Nursing is summarized. Combining with characteristic and practice ofnursing education in our school, effective reform measures that will facilitate thedevelopment of nursing in our country were figured out. Features of University ofPennsylvania of Nursing are as follows. Undergraduate curriculum is less but moreintegrated; internationalizing is canonized in graduate teaching; professional facultyforce is little but very refine; scientific research receive more generous assistantships andmake more tremendous results; the clinical practice takes a large proportion in thecurriculum, with better facilities and a variety of places provided; the branch courts andfunctional department are of great executive capability and cooperate orderly, and themanagement is more systemic, normal and more scientific; a lot of talents in nursingfield are cultivated and the undisputed leader make an outstanding achievement; theyhave more wide ranges of admission, they attach more significance to provide studentswith more opportunities to develop. According to this, we can conduct reformation inprofessional faculty force, curriculum, instructional resources and management. We aresupposed to commit to building the professional team work of the core curriculum,optimizing the structure of the curriculum continually, deepening the construction ofexcellent classes, promoting the construction of teaching resource, reforming theeducational teaching method, advocating innovation, promoting teaching quality byresearch, strengthening practical teaching, and building a scientific and rationalmanagement system.In order to adapt the trend of internationalization of nursing education further, weshould commit to the promotion of exchanges and cooperation with internationally renowned nursing college in the hope of cultivating internationalized and elite nursingtalents.Conclusion: After comparing with the Nursing School of the University of Pennsylvania,we can see a gap in our school. The meaning of this research lies in taking the educationexperience from the Nursing school of the University of Pennsylvania, and concluding ascientific nursing education method for our school, providing a good reference to thedevelopment of the Nursing School of our university.Entering the process of the transformation of education, enhancing the internationalacademic communication and cooperation has been an inexorable tendency. Thisresearch makes a new project in the transformation of education, adapting the newdeveloping strategy. |
