| Obstract: Objective To investigate the effects of transurethral plasma kinetic resection ofprostate(TUPKRP) in the treatment of different volumes benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).Methods:300cases of benign BPH patients, prostate volume <80ml by group A,80-120mlby group B, they were all given PKRP treatment, then their efficacy were compared. Results: The operative time of group A was significantly shorter, the removal of the prostatemass was significantly smaller than those of group B (P <0.05); But the differences of theblood loss, postoperative indwelling catheter time, after washing time, postoperative hospitalstay between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05); The differences of symptom scoresbefore surgery between the two groups were not significant (P>0.05), the postoperativesymptom scores were significantly reduced, and group A were lower than that of group B,but the difference was not significant (P>0.05); A group of patients with incontinence11cases,6cases of urinary tract infection, urethral stricture in6cases,3case of blood transfusion, postoperative complication rate was14.8%(26/176); group B patients with incontinence6cases,4cases of urinary tract infection, urethral stricture2case,4cases of transfusion, postoperative complication rate was12.9%(16/124). The incidence of postoperativecomplications in patients with no significant difference (P>0.05); Within group A,B, thedifference of operative time, blood loss, removal of the prostate mass, postoperativeindwelling catheter time, after washing time, postoperative hospital stay between hypertensionand non-hypertensive, diabetic and non-diabetic patients were not significant (P>0.05),hypertension and diabetes had no effect on the operation of the indicators. Conclusion: PKRP(Transurethral plasma kinetic resection of prostate,TUPKRP)issafe and effective in the treatment of bulky BPH, and its safety and effect are quitewith small volume BPH. |
