ObjectiveGastroesophageal reflux disease is the excessive gastroduodenal contents into the esophagus, causing a state of heartburn, acid reflux, chest pain, and a series of symptoms. In addition to the symptoms of gastrointestinal tract, GERD also expresses in esophageal symptoms, which is a considerable part of the throat symptoms, these diseases are called laryngopharyngeal reflux diseases. Now many physicians believe that the basic pathogenesis of this disease is Liver-qi Stagnation and Invasion, attacking of spleen and stomach, failure of Stomach-qi to descend, counterflow rising to the throat caused the disease. The disharmony of the liver and stomach syndrome is the most common of the syndrome differentiation typing. Using the traditional Chinese medicine can be achieved better clinical efficacy.This study observes the clinical efficacy on LPRD of the disharmony of the liver and stomach syndrome treated with Chaihu Shugan powder, while the control group using Omeprazole Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets, then Evaluate the clinical efficacy through the situation of clinical symptoms and signs improved before and after treatment.MethodsDiagnose and follow-up patients, by Using reflux throat disease、 disharmony of liver and symptoms graded quantization table, larynx dynamic mirror,24h dynamic testing and acid reflux symptoms Scale, Scale reflux symptoms. Include60patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Traditional Chinese medicine treatment group and western medicine treatment group, each group30persons, by using the random number table. Each group adopt different methods:Traditional Chinese medicine treatment group use Chaihu Shugan Powder plus or minus side, one preparation each day; western medicine treatment group Omeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets,20mg each day, and both group takes4week’s course. Usingquestionnaires to follow-up patients, to record their Symptoms and signs at three periods:before the treatment, after each week’s treatment and a month after finishing the treatment. In order to patients’ changes in condition、 treatment effect and Prognosis after treatment, we build a database to analyze patients’symptom and signs, after collecting all the questionnaires.ResultsAmong the60patients in this research, in the aspect of symptom, most people have the Pharyngeal foreign body sensation, followed by hawk action, heartburn and indigestion, laryngeal mucous too much, hoarseness, cough after eating or lying down, cough disturbing, swallowing and breathing difficulties. In the aspect of signs,Most people have joint hypertrophy, followed by throat congestion or erythema, throat mucus adhesion, laryngeal ventricle disappeared or faded, vocal cord edema or polyp formation, edema of larynx, subglottic edema or vocal cord False Creek, granuloma of vocal cords. Both treatments proved to be effective, in the aspect of improvement of clinical symptoms, the difference of symptom improvement score after the treatment of Chinese medicine treatment group is9.50±3.87, which of western medicine treatment group is6.23±3.98, comparison of the two, P=0.01, and there is significant difference. In the aspect of improvement of signs, the difference of symptom improvement score after the treatment of Chinese medicine treatment group is4.80±1.45, which of western medicine treatment group is3.16±1.76, comparison of the two, P>0.05, there is no significant difference. ConelusionThe most common symptoms of GERD are pharyngeal foreign body sensation, frequent throat clearing, acid reflux or indigestion and excessive throat mucus, and the main signs are joint hypertrophy, throat congestion or erythema and throat mucus adhesion. Both Chinese medicine treatment and western medicine treatment have been proved to be effective for GERD, and in the aspect of improvement of signs, Chinese medicine treatment is better than western medicine treatment.
