| ObjectiveTo evaluate the influence of fast-track surgery in peri-operative management of sleeve lobectomy for central lung cancer.MethodsClinical data of57patients with central lung cancer between January2012and April2013were retrospeetively analyzed.23cases (fast-track surgery group)were treated with fast-track surgery and34cases(control group)were treated according to routine protocol in the peri-operative period.ResultsThe time to drainage tube removal, the exhaust time after the surgery, the medical cost and length of hospital stay were significantly shorter in fast-track surgery group than those in the control group(all P<0.05). Wound infection/split open in2cases (8.70%), cardiovascular complications in1case (4.35%), atelectasis/lung infection in3cases (13.04%)in the study group, significantly lower than the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). ConclusionsApplication of fast-track surgery in peri-operative management of sleeve lobectomy for central lung cancer can promote function recovery and decrease morbidity. |
