| Objective:To investigate the effect and safety of dexmedetomidine(Dex) for preventing agition in patients endergoing TURBT in anesthesia recovery period. Methods:60patients undergoing TURPT were randomly divided into two groups(n=30). Both groups were total intravenous anesthesia. In Dex group(group D),10minutes before the beginning of induction of anesthesia, patients were given0.6ug/kg (finished in10minutes) through a minipump. In the control groups(group C), patients were offered normal sline as the same way for group D. The time of patient arrived operating room(To),5minutes before the beginning of operation (T1), immediately The Cystoscope into the penis (T2),15minutes after the operation(T3) immediately of the end of operation (T3), the heart rate(HR)ã€mean arterial pressure(MAP)ã€first sponstaneous breathing timeã€extubation time and ramsay score were recorded. The recovery period with nauseaã€vomitingã€chills and other adverse events were observed. Results:Compared with those patients in group C, the HR and MAP of patients in group D were steady (P<0.05); There were no statistical differences about first sponstaneous breathing time and extubation time (P>0.05); Compared with group C, the incidence and degree of agitation in group D were significantly lower(P<0.01). Nausea, vomiting, respiratory depression were also significantly reduced(P<0.01)Conclusion:Administration of DEX by using a minipump at ten minutes before the beginning of operation can relieve cardiovascular effects and can reduce the agitation of anesthesia recovery period. It is safe and effective for preventing agitation in anesthesia recovery period. |
