Objective:To evulate the expression of HSG, EGFR and GATA3in normal mammary tissue, breast fibroadenoma tissue and breast cancer tissue, and their relationship withclinicopathological factors, in order to provide some valuable evidence for prognosis, therapeutic effect and biotherapy. Methods:Ninety breast cancer samples,60normal mammary samples and60breastfibroadenoma samples and their medical record were collected from Breast SurgicalDepartment. The expression levels of HSG, EGFR and GATA3in normal mammary tissue, breast fibroadenoma tissue and breast cancer tissue were detected byimmunohistochemistry. Their relationship with clinic-pathological features was alsoanalyzed.Results:(1) HSG, EGFR and GATA3protein mainly expressed in the cytoplasm, cytoplasmicmembrane and nucleus of the cell, respectively.(2) The positive expression rate of HSG innormal mammary tissue, breast fibroadenoma tissue and breast cancer tissue were83.3%,76.7%and35.6%, respectively. The positive expression rate of EGFR in normal mammarytissue, breast fibroadenoma tissue and breast cancer tissue were26.7%,23.3%and60%,respectively. The positive expression rate of GATA3in normal mammary tissue, breastfibroadenoma tissue and breast cancer tissue were80.0%,66.7%and58.9%, respectively. The positive expression rate of HSG and GATA3in breast cancer tissue was significantlylower than that of in the normal mammary tissue and the breast fibroadenoma tissue(P<0.05), and the positive expression rate EGFR in breast cancer tissue was significantlyhigher than that of in the normal mammary tissue and breast fibroadenoma tissue (P<0.05).(3) The positive expression rate of HSG and GATA3in lymph node metastasis positivebreast cancer was significantly lower than that of lymph node metastasis negative breast cancer tissue(P<0.05), and the positive expression rate of EGFR in lymph node metastasispositive breast cancer was significantly higher than that of lymph node metastasis negativebreast cancer tissue(P<0.05).(4)The positive expression rate of HSG and GATA3in stageⅠ and Ⅱ was significantly higher than that of in stage Ⅲ breast cancer (P<0.05), and thepositive expression rate of EGFR in stage ⅠandⅡ was significantly lower than that of instage Ⅲ breast cancer (P<0.05).(5)The positive expression rate of HSG, GATA3andEGFR in ER, PR and Her-2positive breast cancer was obviously higher than that of ER,PR and Her-2negative breast cancer (P<0.05).(6)There were no significant differencebetween expression of HSG, GATA3and EGFR and tumor type, tumor size, clinical stageand age (P>0.05).(7) The correlation analysis showed that, the expression of HSG wasnegatively correlated with the expression of EGFR and GATA3(γ=﹣0.531,P=0.000;γ=﹣0.562,P=0.000), and the expression of EGFR was positively correlated with GATA3expression (γ=0.492,P=0.000).Conclusion:(1) HSG, EGFR and GATA3protein have high relationship with the metastasis oflymph node, pathology grading and the expression of ER, PR and Her-2.(2) HSG, EGFRand GATA3protein play an important role in growth, development, invasion andmetastasis in breast carcinoma.(3) The combined detection of the expression of HSG,EGFR and GATA3was of great significance to determine the biological behavior, toprognosis of breast cancer and to guide treatment.
