Nowadays Single-photon Emission Computed Tomography(SPECT) is widely used and has a new tendency of development in nuclear medical imaging. The main advantage of Single-photon Emission Computed Tomography is to study in vivo pathology, physiology and metabolism function non-invasively.Furthermore, Single-photon Emission Computed Tomography can also provide quantitative and semiquantitative analysis, which can provide some information about not only cancer differentiation, tumor staging, treatment monitoring but also disease-frree survival and overall survival in oncology. It is known to all that some factors can impair the accuracy of the result in quantitative analysis of SPECT. Among these factors, the limited resolution of SPECT bring out partial volume effect, lead to images blurring, which has a seriously effect on detection rate of small lesion and the credibility of the quantitative analysis. So the spatial resolution is one of the most important factors that greatly affect the quality of the images, closely related with the accuracy of clinical diagnosis. The spatial resolution of SPECT positron coincidence imaging and wholebody imaging have been studied, but SPECT tomography imaging research for clinical was seldom reported in the literature. So our research is to explore the spatial resolution and the influence of resolution on SPECT tomography imaging. The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part the spatial resolution was fully reviewed in theoretically. In the second part of the thesis, the major influence factors were studied included the position in the field of view, the radius of rotation, reconstruction algorithm, CT attenuation correction and so on. The result of the investigation was significantly benefit to analyzing and improving the Single-photon Emission Computed Tomography image quality, deepen the comprehension for tomography image quality, and provide basis for further quantitative analysis study.Through series of experiments, the thesis provide the changing regular of resolution under different experimental parameters, which is useful for selecting the optimal project for clinical practice and choosing the best scan parameters in different clinical requirements. In order to provide experimental and theoretical basis for SPECT scanning Guideline.
