ObejectiveBronchial asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory diseases mainly with breathing, shortness of breath, chest tightness and cough.It is a clinical common, frequently-occurring disease which is easy to break out repeatedly and hard to be cured. The study adopts the high efficiency, simple uniform design experiment method and by observing with the identified wave (Continuous wave) different electroacupuncture intensity, frequency and time behavior asthma rats’behavior and serum interleukin-4(IL-4)levels, to explore the relationship between the amount of stimulation and the curative effect, seek the best quantity of electric acupuncture treatment of asthma.MethodsThe28SD male rats were randomly divided into the control group (5), the model group (5), the treatment group (6groups, each group of3). Asthma model was established by ovalbumin sensitization and challenge for the rats come from the model group and the treatment one, and rats in treatment groups are given corresponding intervention treatments according to uniform design schedule before each challenge. By recording the behavioral change of asthma rats and using Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) method to detect the contents of IL-4in rats’serum, through statistical analysis to infer the influence of electroacupuncture intensity, frequency and time on the effect of asthma rats and the optimum combination scheme.Results1. By ovalbumin sensitization and challenge, the model group compared with the control group, the asthmatic symptoms were marked, incubation period of asthma was significantly shorten, nasal scratching frequently, and the levels of IL-4were significantly increased, by statistical comparison, there was a significant difference (P<0.01); the treatment group compared with model group, the asthmatic symptoms, incubation period of asthma, the number of nasal scratching, and the contents of IL-4were significantly improved, there was a significant difference (P<0.01).2. By using multiple stepwise regression to analyze the datas in the uniform design schedule, we can can obtain three regression standardized equations, correlations of independent variables, and by F test, equations had significance.Conclusion1.Electroacupuncture act on Feishu Shenshu can significantly improve asthma symptoms in rats, decreased the levels of IL-4in asthmatic rats’serum.2. In the three factors, stimulation intensity had the greatest influence on the curative effect of electroacupuncture on asthma, stimulation time took less effect, frequency played the weakest role.3. The frequency of electroacupuncture was positively correlated with the curative effect of electroacupuncture on asthma, time and were curve correlated with it.4. Among six levels of three factors which was studied in this experiment, the curative effect of electroacupuncture on asthma was best when the stimulation intensity was0.8mA, the frequency was50Hz and the time was15min.
