This dissertation focus on polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols typemetabolites from Hypericum pseudohenryi. It is composed of three chapters, the firstchapter is the experimental section, including a list of instruments and materialsapplied in experiment, source of plant material, experimental procedures of extractionand isolation. The second chapter lays out the experimental results and discussion, covering the structure elucidation process of new compounds, their physical andchemical data on some compounds. The third chapter reviews the research progressof chemical constituents and bioactivities of Genus Hypericum.During our research, various chromatographic techniques were used, such asgel chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), nuclearmagnetic resonance spectrum(NMR), infrared spectrum, ultraviolet spectrum, massspectrum(MS), etc. Targeted and efficiently isolating the ingredients through the UVabsorption and thin layer chromatography of the components are possible. Totally40compounds were isolated from H. pseudohenryi collected in Yunnan Province and thestructure of25of them were determined so far, which involves adamantine, polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols (PPAPs), bicyclic polyprenylatedacylphloroglucinols (BPAPs)and so forth. Finally, this dissertation summarizes chemical constituents of great diversityand PPAPs reported from genus Hypericum and the anti-depression, anti-tumor,anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV, antibacterial, antisenity bioactivities of species in thisgenus.
