The Clinic Study Of Liu Wei Di Huang Decoction Combined With Glucocorticoid In The Treatment Of Children With Primary Nephrotic Syndrome And Its Impact On The Sex Hormone Levels

ObjectiveObserve the clinical curative effect and influence of sex hormone levels of Liu Wei Di Huang Decoction combined with glucocorticoid for primary nephrotic syndrome children with pattern of liver and kidney deficiency.Methods36patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into2groups: the treatment group (18cases) taking Liu Wei Di Huang Decoction combined with glucocorticoid, and the control group (18cases) taking glucocorticoid only. All treatments were given for12weeks. Clinical symptoms, TCM symptom score, blood fat, hepatic and renal function, sex hormone (FSH, LH, PRL E2) were observed before and after treatment.Results1. Efficacy evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine, the treatment group complete remission in6cases, significantly in5cases, partial remission in2cases, ineffective in5case, total effective rate72.2%; the comparison group remission in2cases, significantly in1cases, partial remission in6cases, ineffective in9case, total effective rate50.0%, two groups was significant difference (P<0.05).2.The TCM symptoms total scores of two groups decrease after treatment, the scores of the treatment group after treatment (10.8±4.56) had significant difference than before treatment(15.1±5.23); the scores of the comparison group after treatment(12.5±5.31)had no significant difference than before treatment(15.0±4.77). 3. Efficacy evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine symptom:in the treatment group, symptoms scores of dropsy, dysphoria in chestpalms-soles, dry throat and lumbar spinal pain could be reduced after the treatment (P <0.05), but symptoms scores of dry eye, blurred vision, dizziness and tinnitus could not be reduced (P>0.05); in the comparison group, only symptoms scores of dropsy decreased (P<0.05).4. The sex hormone of the both shows no significant difference before and after the treatment (P>0.05).ConclusionThe effect of Liu Wei Di Huang Decoction combined with glucocorticoid for primary nephrotic syndrome children with pattern of liver and kidney deficiency is significant, the symptoms such as dysphoria in chestpalms-soles, dry throat and lumbar spinal pain could be reduced. It had no significant effect on sex hormone levels of the children on early stage of the youth.
