In this study, we successfully synthesized series of conjugate linolenic acid polymer dressingsimpregnated with special nano structures, including nano silver, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide. Thebiological activity was also assessed.In general, this dissertation mainly focused on the following five parts:(1) Preparation and characterization of the conjugate linolenic acid polymer dressings. And thepolymer dressings show good antibacterial property towards both Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis)and Staphyloccocus aureus (S. aureus).(2) Conjugated linolenic acid polymer dressings impregnated with silver nano-crystals: fabricationand inhibition functions assessment on microorganisms. Scanning electron microscopy,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, energy dispersiveX-ray and atomic absorption spectroscopy provided a qualitative and quantitative support to theformation of silver nano-crystals on the hill structured conjugated linolenic acid polymerdressings.The antibacterial activity towards B. subtilis and S. aureus was investigated for differentCLn-Ag dressings by using disc diffusion method. The results revealed that the polymer dressingshad significant bactericidal effect on both bacteria in a silver loading efficiency-dependent mode.This research supports the potential value of CLn-Ag dressings as coating for tissue engineeringsubstitutes to simultaneously inhibit hamartoplasia and bacterial infection during operation.(3) Conjugated linolenic acid polymer dressings impregnated with magnesium oxide: fabrication andinhibition functions assessment on microorganisms. The results revealed that the formation ofMgO is nano-crystal, but the polymer dressings impregnated with MgO had no bactericidal effecton both bacterias including B. subtilis and S. aureus.(4) Conjugated linolenic acid polymer dressings impregnated with zinc oxide: fabrication andinhibition functions assessment on microorganisms. The results revealed that the formation ofZnO is nano-crystal, and the polymer dressings impregnated with ZnO had no bactericidal effect on B. subtilis but had bactericidal effect on S. aureus.
