Abstract/Summary:
BackgroundChronic renal failure, also known as chronic renal insufficiency.Chronic renal failure due to kidney damage and kidney function decline inunit of irreversible eventually let to the failure of slow process, whichoccurs in late chronic kidney disease as a clinical syndrome, mainly asrenal failure, water and electrolyte disturbance, metabolite retention,acid-base balance various systems damage of the body, as the final goal ofsustainable development of various renal disease. Variety primary andsecondary worsening kidney disease, may eventually develop chronic renalfailure. In China, chronic renal failure is a common disease, the incidencerate is about0.06%, of which main cause of primary glomerulonephritis, the prognosis is poor. There are great pain and inconvenience to people’slives, learn, work. With the progress of dialysis and kidney transplantationtechnology, western medicine treatment of chronic renal failure has beensignificantly improved efficacy, but due to high cost, limited transplant conditions, limiting its clinical application. Therefore, to find effective, convenient and inexpensive means of non-dialysis and drugs is shill the hotspot and focus with chronic renal failure. The acupuncture treatment in theclinical aspects of chronic renal failure achieved certain result, andacupuncture is simple, inexpensive, side effects, welcomed by the masses. Therefore, electro-acupuncture treatment of chronic renal failure has veryimportant clinical significance.ObjectiveThis paper uses adenine chronic renal failure rat model, aims to studythe effect of EA on expression of β-catenin and renal function in chronicrenal failure rat, and the previous experiment results, with a view to hefuture clinical development of electric acupuncture in treating chronic renalfailure with the theoretical basis, provides research thinking some furtherresearch but also for chronic renal failure. This experiment mainly fromtrerapeutic mechanism of electron acupuncture on CRF in renal tissuemorphology and expression of protein, to provide an experimental basis forthe study of protein group follow-up and cell signaling pathways.MethodsThirty-six male SD rats were randomly divided into3group: normalgroup, model group and EA group,12rats in each group. CRF model wasinduced in all rats, except the normal group by modified by feeding0.5%adenine food for21days. After CRF model was formed, the rats in normal and model group were conventional feed, the rats in the EAgroup(9v,1-3mA,1.5-2Hz, D.D wave) were treed with EA method applied“Sanyinjiao“(SP6),“Taixi”(KI3) and “Shenshu”(BL23) for20min,once daily, continuously for30days. Then determine the content of Scr byenzymatic, determine the content of BUN by decoy enzymatic, observedthe histological section of renal tissue by light microscopy and electronmicroscopy, the expression of β-catenin in renal tissue was determined byWestern blot.ResultsThen the content of Scr, BUN and expression of β-catenin in renaltissue significantly increased in model group compared to normalgroup(P<0.05); exposure of CRF rat to EA resulted in decrease in thecontent of Scr, BUN and the expression of β-catenin in the renal tissue(P<0.05, versus CRF group); Under light microscope, there is no change on therenal tissue morphology of the normal group, the tubules lumen of modelgroup had increased, fibrosis, EA group were changed to varying degrees;Under electron microscope, there is no change on the renal tissuemorphology of the normal group, the renal tissue of model group hadsufficient lysis, mesangial cell hypertrophy, and the EA group werechanged to varying degrees.ConclusionEA can obviously improve the renal function of CRF rats, the reason maybe the EA can reduced the expression of β-catenin in the renal tissue.
