PART I THE EFFICACY OF BRONCHOALVEOLARLAVAGE FOR SEVERE MYCOPLASMA PNEUMONIAEPNEUMONIAObjective: To discuss the efficacy of bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL)therapy for the children with severe mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. Methods: Review30cases of SMPP who were diagnosed inChildren’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in June2012toDecember2013,30patients were divided into BAL group (13cases) andnon-BAL group (17cases) according to the wishes of their families. TheBAL group were with BAL on basis of common treatment, and thenon-BAL group only with common treatment. Compare the effect oftreatment between the two groups after5-7days.Results: The BAL group:8cases with significant efficacy,4caseswith effective treatment,1case with non-effective treatment. The non-BAL group:2cases with significant efficacy,8cases with effective treatment,7cases with non-effective treatment. The significant effective rate(61.54%)and totally effective rate(92.31%) of BAL group were higher than thenon-BAL group(11.76%,58.82%), they had significant difference in2groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: BAL can improve the efficacy of SMPP. PART II THE EFFICACY OF LAVAGE TREATMENT INDIFFERENT PERIODS FOR SEVERE MYCOPLASMAPNEUMONIAE PNEUMONIAObjective: To explore the efficacy of BAL for febrile children withsevere mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. Methods: Review13cases of SMPP who were treated with BAL inChildren’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in June2012toDecember2013,13patients were divided into treatment group (7cases)and contrast group (6cases) according to whether the children were feveror not. The treatment group were given BAL in febrile period, and the contrast group were given BAL in afebrile period. Compare the fever, cough, pulmonary rales disappeared time and hospital stays between thetwo groups. Results: The treatment group: controlling the febrile time were(7.00±2.94) days, controlling the cough time were(8.43±2.70) days, thedisappeared time of pulmonary rales were(6.29±3.40) days, and thehospital stays were(9.57±2.30) days. The contrast group were(6.17±0.75) days,(13.33±1.97) days,(11.67±2.25) days,(13.33±1.63)days. The cough, pulmonary rales disappeared time and hospital stays hadsignificant difference in2groups (P<0.01).Conclusion: The efficacy of BAL in febrile period is better than inafebrile period. Giving BAL in febrile period can improve symptoms andsigns, shorten hospital stays.
