Objective:To investigate the application of high-frequency ultrasound for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis for in Uyghur sand therapy.Methods:From2012to2013,56rheumatoid arthritis patients with the knee lesions receiving the sand therapy in Turpan were enrolled,56subjects were taken as the normal control group. The high-frequency ultrasound examination was performed. Four indicators namely as patellar bursa fluid, synovial thickness, the medial femoral condyle and lateral condyle cartilage thickness before and after treatment, doppler color flow grading of patellar synovium between the RA group and the normal control group were analyzed and compared.Results:The patellar bursa fluid thickness and the patellar bursa synovium thickness changed in RA group after receiving the sand therapy, the doppler color flow grading of patellar synovium between the RA group the normal control group and RI showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:High-frequency ultrasound is an objective and reliable screening method for the diagnosis of the knee lesions of rheumatoid arthritis, it can be an effectiveness criteria for Uygur sand therapy.
