Postoperative Complications Analysis Of The Ventriculo Peritoneal Shunt In Children

Objective:To explore the factors influencing the incidence of complications in children after ventriculo peritoneal shunt.Methods:A retrospective analysis of the influence factors effect on the incidence of complications underwent ventriculo peritoneal shunt operation in the74cases of hydrocephalus in children who cured in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from2011January to2013April.Results:74patients,3patients were lost to follow-up,3patients died of tumor recurrence, the remaining68cases underwent ventriculoperitoneal shunt in80times, the shunt infection in8cases (11.76%),3cases of death, excessive shunt in5cases (7.35%), shunt tube obstruction in6cases (8.82%),1cases of abdominal segment perforate hollow viscera, shunt tube rupture in1cases.Conclusion:There are significant differences between the occurrence time of shunt of major complications after operation, small age are risk factors for infection after shunt, postoperative children with frequent changes in posture are risk factors for postoperative excessive shunt.
