Objective:To observe mismatch repair protein(MMRP) expression of hMLH1, hMSH2, hPSM2, and hMSH6respectively, and analyse the correlation between its expression deficiency and clinical pathological features. Methtods:Postoperative samples of404patients with SCC in our hospital from May1st2009to June1st2012were collected. Four types of MMRP expression level were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the correlation between its expression deficiency and clinical pathological features were performed by chi-square test and Logistic regression analysis. Results:27.23%(110/404) of the SCC tissue showed abnormal nuclear staining for mismatch repair gene protein. Univariate analysis showed that MMRP expression deficiency was closely related with tumor location, BMI and differentiated degree (P<0.05), and there were no correlation with age, gender, nationality, anemia, tumor size, macroscopic type or TNM staging (P>0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that MMRP expression deficiency was closely related with BMI, diffferentiated degree and tumor location (P<0.05). Conclusion:BMI, diffferentiated degree and tumor location were the independent risk factors of MMRP expression deficiency.detection of MMRP expression may be useful for evaluating severity and prognosis of colorectal cancer.
