The Effcts Of NCPAP On8-OHdG、IL-6in The Serum Of The Middle And Old Aged Patients With OSAHS

Objective:We investigated whether the nCPAP could have impacts on the levels of8-OHdG and IL-6in the serum of the middle and old aged patients with OSAHS by detecting their changes after the nCPAP treatment.So we can provide the evidence for the clinical prevention and treatment of OSAHS.Methods:23patients with moderate or severe OSAHS as the test group and19subjects who were matched for sex, age, body mass index (BMI) and diseases without OSAHS as the control group were recruited. Then the test group were randomized to receive the3days treatment of nCPAP. The levels of the lipid,8-OHdG and IL-6were measured. In addition, after the effective nCPAP treatment for3days the serum8-OHdG and IL-6were studied in the OSAHS group.Results:The level of AHI,8-OHdG, IL-6, TC, TG, LDL-c levels were significantly higher in the test group than those in the control group (P<0.05). The level of the mean nocturnal SaO2, the lowest nocturnal SaO2levels were significantly lower in test patients than those in the control group(P<0.05). The HDL-c level was lower in test patients than those in the control group,,but had no significance (P=0.063). There were significant positive correlation between AHI and TC, TG, LDL-c,8-OHdG, IL-6in all subjects(P<0.05). There were significant negative correlation between AHI and HDL-c in all subjects (P<0.05). There were significant negative correlation between the mean nocturnal SaO2, the lowest nocturnal SaO2and TC, TG, LDL-c,8-OHdG, IL-6in all subjects (P<0.05). There were significant positive correlation between the mean nocturnal SaO2, the lowest nocturnal SaO2and HDL-c (P<0.05). There were significant positive correlation between the8-OHdG level and IL-6(P<0.05). After the effective CPAP treatment for3days, the serum8-OHdQ IL-6and AHI levels were significantly decreased in the test group. While,the mean nocturnal SaO2, the lowest nocturnal SaO2were significantly increased in the test group(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.. The OSAHS patients had the higher serum8-OHdG, IL-6level compared with the controls. The increased serum8-OHdG level correlated with the elevated lever of IL-6. There may be oxidative stress and inflammatory response in OSAHS patients2.. The serum8-OHdG, IL-6level can be decreased by effective3days nCPAP treatment in the OSAHS patients. The nCPAP has the positive effect on the oxidative stress and inflammatory response in OSAHS patients.
