Prevalence Of Type2Diabetes Complicated With Pulmonary Tuberculosis Uygur Patients’psychological And Social Support In Xinjiang

Objective:To undersatand the psychological and social support status of Uygur pati ents in Xinjiang having type2diabetes mellitus (diabetes,DM), pulmonary tubercul osis (Tuberculosis,TB) and diabetes mellitus combined with pulmonary tuberculosis DM+TB,compare thier differences and and provide reference for the future psycho logical intervention in patients with diabetes complicated with pulmonary tuberculos is in Xinjiang.Methods:The survey was conducted by using demographic questionna ire, symptom checklist90(SCL-90),social support rating scale (SSRS) in a hospital in Urumqi,Xinjiang among390Uygur patients with type2diabetes complicated wi th pulmonary tuberculosis,type2diabetes in non pulmonary tuberculosis,pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the three groups of mental health and social support status of the investigation.SPSS17.0was applied for all the data and the result was comp ared with the national norm,and the correlation test,mental health and social suppor t of different age, different education and different sex patients factor score analysi s.and mental health and social support correlation test,different ages,different educati onal background and different gender factor score of patients were compared.ResuIt:(1)The three groups in gender,age,marriage,education level,and so on,there was no s tatistical significance (P>0.05).(2) Three groups of patients with SCL-90total score, somatization,anxiety factor scores were higher than that of the norm;the SSRS sco re of social support,subjective support,objective support,the utilization of support we re lower than the norm,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05or P<0.01).(3)Patients in group DM+TB body SCL-90and SSRS in three groups of patients, forced,depression, anxiety,terror,mental factor score was the highest,followed by TB groups,DM groups were again,patients in group TB SSRS factor score of subjecti ve support score and factor score the lowest, followed by DM+TB groups,DM gro ups were again; only patients in the TB group in the interpersonal relationship fact or scores than the other two groups,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05or P<0.01).(4)The correlation between the usage of patients’objective,subjective s upport and each factors of SCL-90coefficient was0.185-0.448,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05orP<0.01).(5)Three groups’psychological and social s upport of higher age,lower educationnal level and female patients with was the lo west,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05or P<0.01).Conclusion:Xinji ang Uygur patients with type2diabetes and tuberculosis was in poor psychologic al and social support,which was much lower than type2diabetes and patients with tuberculosis alone;There was negative correlation between mental health status of t ype2diabetic patients combined with pulmonary tuberculosis and social support.Th is suggests that the medical staff and public attection should be sufficiently given t o the diabetes patients complicated with pulmonary tuberculosis,using various measu res to provide effective support to improve their psychological status and social su pport, promote recovery and improve the quality of life.
