Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of lifestyle interventions in people with Pre-diabetesof blood sugar and relevant indicators by Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.Method: MEDLINE,EMBASE,Web Of Science,The Cochrane Library,CBM, ChinaNational Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Chinese VIP database from1966to June2013was used to identify relevant studies. Meta-analysis was carried out using Reviewmanager5.0. Fixed-effects models or random-efforts model were used to pool the summaryrelative risk (RR) and weighted mean difference (WMD).Results:16literatures were selected for Meta-analysis based on our including andexcluding standards. The incidence of diabetes, fasting blood glucose, postprandial plasmaglucose, glycosylated hemoglobin A1c, weight, body mass index, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure had the significant difference betweenIntervention group and control group. The summary relative risk (RR) or weighted meandifference (WMD) and95%confidence interval were respectively as followings:(RR=0.61,95%CI:0.52,0.71),-0.33(95%CI:-0.53,-0.13) mmol/L,-0.74(95%CI:-1.38,-0.11)mmol/L,-0.30(95%CI:-0.49,-0.11)%,-4.14(-7.12,-1.16) Kg,-1.03(95%CI:-1.48,-0.58) kg/m2,-1.35(95%CI:-2.34,-0.35) cm;-8.36(95%CI:-11.19,-5.52) mmHg;-3.83(95%CI:-4.30,-3.37) mmHg.Conclusion: Lifestyle interventions may be a useful tool in preventing diabetes forpeople with pre-diabetes and was effective for reducing Glucose, blood pressure and weightloss.
