Correlation Analysis Between Diacerein Combined With Duhuo Jisheng Decoction In The Treatment Of Early Osteoarthritis Of The Knee And The Levels Of Serum TRACP-5b, CTX-I Concentration

Objective: To study of oral diacerein combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in the treatment of early osteoarthritis of the knee, influence on the concentration of TRACP-5b and CTX-I in serum.Methods: Through the research of randomized controlled trials. The specimens were divided into three groups with 15 patients in each group of specimens.The standard of 15 cases of patients do not take any measures of treatment, only in pain without regular use of pain medications.15 cases of patients in the control group with oral dose of diacerein in the treatment of osteoarthritis, 50 mg Bid.The experimental group of 15 patients given diacerein except 50 mg Bid, at the same time, the use of traditional Chinese medicine preparation "Duhuo Jisheng Decoction" orally 100 ml Bid.At baseline and after two weeks of therapy in patients with blood samples were collected at a time, absorption detection of two markers of bone collagen cross-linking method using ELISA: C- terminal peptide of type I(CTX) of serum tartrate resistant acid phosphatase(TRACP-5b) and serum-5b before treatment and two weeks after treatment the serum concentration.At the same time, the patients in the three groups before and two weeks after the treatment respectively for a WOMAC questionnaire VAS score. Analysis of the data before and after the treatment, then conclusion.Results: Three groups of bone resorption markers and WOMAC score difference before treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05). After two weeks of treatment, two of bone resorption markers score and WOMAC changes. The concentration of serum TRACP-5b: before treatment, the average concentration of 2.16±0.5U/L, 1.88±0.49U/L after treatment. There was no significant difference between the standard group and the control group(P>0.05); there was no significant difference between the control group and the experimental group(P>0.05); there was statistically significant difference between the standard group and the experimental group(P<0.05). The concentration of serum CTX-I: before treatment, the average concentration of: 2.43±0.51ng/ml, the average concentration after treatment: 2.24±0.56ng/ml. There was no significant difference between the standard group and the control group(P>0.05); there were statistically significant differences in the standard group and the experimental group(P<0.05); there was statistically significant difference between the control group and experimental group(P<0.05). WOMAC score: the average score of before treatment 110.69±37.32, after treatment: 100.66±31.26 average score. There was no significant difference between the standard group and the control group(P>0.05); there were statistically significant differences in the standard group and the experimental group(P<0.05); the control group and the experimental group had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion: Oral administration of diacerein combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in the treatment of early osteoarthritis of the knee for 2 weeks and inhibits bone resorption, contribute to alleviate the symptoms of knee joint.
