The Clinical Research On The Effect Of Suzi Jiangqi Decoction In The Treatment Of Acute Exacerbations Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Syndrome Of Turbid Phlegm Obstructing Lung)

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of suzi jiangqi decoction in the treatment of AECOPD patients by analyzing the clinical symptoms, signs and the date of blood gas analysis.METHOD:48 cases of AECOPD patients classification belongs to stage I to III were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, each containing twenty-four patients. Patients in the control group were treated with routine medicine treatment. The treatment group adds traditional Chinese medicine compound decoction for oral use Suzi Jiangqi Decoction. Course of treatment is 10 days. Comparing the clinical symptoms, signs and the date of blood gas analyses of the two groups before and after the treatment.Result:1. The suzi jiangqi decoction could Improve the clinical symptoms and signs of AECOPD patients, improve the total efficiency.The clinical symptoms and signs both group have significant difference after 10 days treatment compared with before (P＜0.05), That mains the treatment for both groups of patients could Improve the clinical symptoms and signs of AECOPD patients. The clinical symptom and signs of cough, expectoration, gasp, anorexia and wheezing of the treating group was better than that of the control group (P＜0.05), while the symptoms of chest pain score in both group have no significant difference (P>0.05). The total effective rate of treatment group is higher than the control group from the symptom integral comprehensive evaluation and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).2. The suzi jiangqi decoction could significantly improve the PaO2, PaCO2 and the oxygenation and carbon dioxide retention of AECOPD patients.PaO2 and PaC02 of each group have significant difference after treatment compared with before treatment (F＜0.05) while no significant difference in pH values between the two groups before and after treatment (P>0.05), suggesting that the managements of both group could improve oxygenation and carbon dioxide retention. PaO2 and PaCO2 of the treating group is better than that of the control group with significant difference after the treatment (P＜0.05).ConclusionsThe suzi jiangqi decoction could improve the clinical symptoms and signs of AECOPD patients and could significantly improve the PaO2, the PaCO2, the oxygenation and carbon dioxide retention of AECOPD patients.
