Object iveStudy the application of CLSM (Confocal laser scanning microscope) to define the Mohs micrographic surgical boundaries and explore the regulation of TCM (traditional chinese medicine) constitution of basal cell carcinoma.MethodsThe BCC (base cell carcinoma) patients were enrolled in the study basing on the indusion and exclusion criteria. CLSM examinations were performed to set up the boundaries. Marked and taked photos. The lesions were treated with Mohs micrographic surgical excision with the measuring poits. Intraoperative frozen biopsy and histopathology were performed to ascertain the CLSM margins. Marked and taked photos. The sizes of surgical area and the distance were calculated. Conducted a survey about TCM Constitution of the patients.ResultsThe average of CLSM area was 2.6363±2.5076 cm2, and the skin lesion area was 1.8275±1.8020 cm2 and the surgical area was 3.0847±2.8252 cm2 (Z=-0.639, P=0.523>0.05).Most of the patients were YangXu constitutions, and the second and the third one was YinXu constitutions and ShiRe constitutions respectively. ConelusionCLSM could detect tumor boundaries of bascal cell carcinoma effectively, so as to guide the Mohs Micrographic surgical resection of clinical lesions. Qiyu constitutions were the most in biased constitutions of the basal cell carcinoma patients.
