Objective: The incidence of Cutaneous basal cell carcinoma is on the rise worldwide, and slow Mohs micrographic surgery and traditional standard excision are the main methods of treatment.Through retrospective analysis, this article analyzes the cost-effectiveness of slow Mohs micrographic surgery and traditional standard excision for cutaneous basal cell carcinoma to provide theoretical basis for the rational choice of treatment options. Methods: Hospitalized patients with basal cell carcinoma from September 2014 to September 2019 treated in the Department of Dermatology,Otorhinolaryngology,Plastic Surgery,Maxillofacial Surgery and Ophthalmology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were selected.124 patients in the traditional standard excision group were included in the control group, and 131 patients in the slow Mohs micrographic surgery group were included in the case group. The traditional standard excision group was followed for 5 years, and the slow Mohs micrographic surgery was followed for 2.5 years.by comparing the hospitalization costs and cure rates of the two groups,The cost-effectiveness was comprehensively analyzed. Results: In the slow Mohs group, its recurrence rate was 0.7%,the average cost was 8067.35,and the cost-effectiveness ratio was 8142.23;In the traditional standard excision group, the recurrence rate was 5.5%,the average cost was 9110.135,and the cost-effectiveness ratio was 9640.36.The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of the slow Mohs group compared to the traditional standard excision group was-21724.58.The length of hospital stay in the slow Mohs group was 5.99 days, compared with 9.77 days in the traditional standard excision group. The extended excision range in the slow Mohs group was 0.37 ± 0.16 cm,while it was 0.60 ± 0.46 cm in the traditional standard excision group. Conclusion: Slow Mohs micrographic surgery is more cost-effective than traditional standard excision surgery and can be popularized in most parts of China.thelonger the follow-up time, the greater the difference in recurrence rates between the two procedures may be,and the more significant the economic benefit value of slow Mohs compared with traditional standard excision may be.
