The Study Of Impact On Social Stratification To The Rural Residents Health

This article, based on a poll on villagers in W village located in Jiangxi Province,China, aims at gaining a better understanding of the physical conditions of the villagers.Varied stats are utilized to further analyze how social stratification, education level,income level, and different professions have affected their general level of health. Finally,some suggestions are offered on issues such as unequal state of health in order to promote the construction of socialist harmonious society.First part: Introduction. This part focuses on the research background, the main purpose and point of this article, literature review, and other relevant research hypotheses.Second part: Theory. This part mainly discusses Social Stratification Theory,Harmonious Society Theory, and Rational Behavior Theory.Third part: Descriptive analysis on social stratification and physical condition of villagers. Descriptive analysis indicates that villagers generally lack necessary knowledge regarding health and that they are not proactive participators in health-related behaviors.In addition, villagers evaluate low health condition on themselves and reflect the existence of an unequal states of health phenomenon.Fourth part: Empirical research on the effects that social stratification poses on the physical conditions of villigers. After factors analysis, relevancy analysis, and regression analysis are conducted, the results shows that social stratification(education level, income level, and professions) has a notably positive effect on villagers’ health. Further, education level has the greatest impact.Fifth part: Conclusion and suggestions. Villagers are suffering from a poor physical condition, which is considerably affected by income level, education level, and professions. Therefore, this article recommends solutions and suggestions as follows.Increase the economic input on education to elevate the education level of villagers.Expand channels for villagers to generate more income. Motivate new-type urbanization and agricultural modernization processes to switch villagers’ roles. Strengthen their awareness on health.
