Objective:We selected patients with type 2 diabetes and the healthy people,to test the level of serum s Fas and s Fasl,at the same time,we use the Repeatable battery for the assessment of neuropsychological status and Self-rating depression scale to test the subjects’ cognitive status and depression status. We collect the subjects’ general information and biochemical index for the statistics. According to the results,we discuss the relationship of serum s Fas,s Fasl, and type 2 diabetes patients’ cognitive and depression status, and discuss the possible mechanism furture. Methods: 63 type 2 daibetes patients were selected from 2013.3 to 2014.3 in Hebei Tangshan Gongren hospital. And 68 healthy people were selected as the control group. Age, sex, course of disease, body mass index(BMI),and Fasting plasma glucose(FPG), total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) were tested in the subjects.Besides, Fasting insulin was measured in the type 2 diabetes patients in order to calculate the insulin resistance, which is presented as the HOMA-IR.Meanwhile,Hb A1 c is tested to estimate the level of Fasting plasma glucose during 2-3months.Moreover,we tested the serum s Fas,s Fasl level and do the statistics. In addition, the cognitive and depression status were compared between the two groups. Then,we do the relevance and the regression statistics to come to the conclusion.Results:1 The comparisions between the two goups:①The subjects’ general informations and biochemical indexes :type 2 diabetes patients’ group: level of FPG,TC,TG were higher than the control group, while the level of the HDL was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).(Table 1,Fig.1-Fig.5)②The subjects’ level of serum s Fas and s Fasl: type 2 diabetes patients’ level of s Fas was higher than the control group, while the level of s Fasl was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).(Table 2,Fig.6-Fig.7)③The subjects’ level of cognitive status:type 2 diabetes patients’ immediate memory, visuospatial, delayed memory, total score were lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant.(P <0.05).While there were no significantly differents in language and attention between the two groups(P>0.05).(Table 3,Fig.8-Fig.11)④The subjects’ level of depression status: type 2 diabetes patients’ score was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).(Table 4,Fig.12)2 The relationship between the indexes in the type 2 diabetes group:①The relationship of serum s Fas,s Fasl with clinical indexes:level of serum s Fas was positively related with level of FINS,HOMA-IR,Hb A1c(P<0.05). Level of serum s Fasl was negatively related with level of FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR(P<0.05).(Table 5)Regression analysis showed that after adjusting the confounding factors, s Fas was still positively related with HOMA-IR(t=3.249,P=0.002),while s Fasl was still negatively related with HOMA-IR(t=-2.299,P=0.025).(Table 8-Table 9,Fig.13-Fig14)②The relationship between s Fas,s Fasl and cognitive status:level of serum s Fas was negatively related with visuospatial and the total score(P<0.05), level of serum s Fasl was positively related with the total score(P<0.05).(Table 6)Regression analysis showed that after adjusting the confounding factors(1)The total score was negatively related with HOMA-IR(t=-3.61,P=0.001),Age(t=-2.65,P=0.010),s Fas(t=-2.309,P=0.024).(Table 10, Fig.15-Fig16)(2)Immediate memory was negatively related with age(t=-3.312,P=0.002) and HOMA-IR(t=-3.007,P=0.004).(3)Visuospatial was negatively related with s Fas(t=-2.537,P=0.014).(4)Language was negatively related with HOMA-IR(t=-3.534,P=0.001).(5)Attention was negatively related with HOMA-IR(t=-3.534,P=0.001) and education(t=2.321,P=0.024).(6)Delayed memory was negatively related with age(t=-2.589,P=0.012)and HOMA-IR(t=-5.145,P<0.001).③The relationship between s Fas,s Fasl and depression status:level of serum s Fas was positively related with SDS score(P<0.05).(Table 7)Regression analysis showed that after adjusting the confounding factors,SDS Score was still positively related with HOMA-IR(t=2.538,P=0.014),Age(t=2.759,P=0.008),s Fas(t=3.062,P=0.003).(Table 11,Fig.17-Fig18)Conclusion:1 Among the type 2 diabetes patients, level of serum s Fas was elevated, level of serum s Fasl was declined. It suggested that the system of s Fas/s Fasl was changed abnormally in type 2 diabetes patients.2 Cognitive and depression status were impaired in Type 2 diabetes patients.3 The study showed that level of serum s Fas was closely related with cognitive status and depression status in type 2 diabetes patients.
