Objective: Measuring the related ultrasound indicators in the short-term of the patients with atrial fibrillation before and after radiofrequency ablation by transesophageal echocardiography,to assess the function changes of the patients’ left atrial appendage. Methods:A retrospective analysis of a total of 28 cases of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation from November 2014 to April 2015.Before the24-48 hours of the surgery to measure the left atrial appendage flow emptying velocity(LAA flow emptying velocity,LAA-FEV),left atrial appendage flow filling velocity(LAA flow filling velocity,LAA-FFV), left atrial appendage max(LAA max) and left atrial appendage min( LAA min),and calculate the area change rate of the left atrial appendage(LAA-EF) :(LAA max- LAA min)/LAA max. The same data was again measured by transesophageal echocardiography within the 24-48 hours after the radiofrequency ablation of the atrial fibrillation.ResuIts:No significant changes in LAA-FEV, LAA-FFV, LAA-EF(P> 0.05)compared with the before and after operation,2 cases of the patients appeared left atrial appendage spontaneous echo contrast(Spontaneous echo contrast,SEC)(P>0.05) after the operation.ConclusionsiThere is no significant function changes in the left atrial appendage of the patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation after the radiofrequency ablation in the short-term, and it has the tendency of increaseing the risk of thrombus of the left atrial, appendage, but it doesn’t has the statistical significance. |
