Scalp Acupuncture Combined With Clinical Observation Of Local Acupoint Burrmethod In The Treatment Of Hemifacial Spasm

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of scalp acupuncture combined with local burr method in the treatment of hemifacial spasm,and provide a simple,effective method for the treatment of hemifacial spasm.Methods:The 60 patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly assigned into treatment group and control group,and the patients on treatment group was treated with scalp acupuncture combined with local acupoint burr method,and the control group received conventional acupuncture treatment,and 30 cases of each group.Two groups of patients treated 1 times a day,and were needle for 50 minutes.They both had two courses of treatment,and every 2 weeks for a course of treatment. Comparing Hemifacial spasm ntensity classification (Cohen grade),hemifacial spasm frequency classification (Penn grade)of two groups before treatment,after a course,two courses of treatment,and the two groups’total efficiency after two courses of treatment.Results:1.To compare Cohen grade:after a courseof treatment,there are noobvious decrease in Cohen grade between the two groups(P>0.05). Showing two groups of treatment for acrouse of treatment are no obvious effect.After two crouses of treatment,the Cohen grade of two groups are significantly decreased than before treatment(P<0.05),and showing two groups of treatment after treatment are significantly,and the treatment group is significantly lower than the control(P<0.05). It shows that the treatment group than the control group relieve hemifacial spasm intensity.2.To compare Penn grade:after a courseof treatment,there are noobvious decrease in Penn grade between the two groups(P>0.05). Showing two groups of treatment for acrouse of treatment are no obvious effect.After two crouses of treatment,the Penn grade of two groups are significantly decreased than before treatment(P<0.05),and showing two groups of treatment after treatment are significantly,and the treatment group is significantly lower than the control(P<0.05). It shows that the treatment group than the control group relieve hemifacial spasm frequency.3.To compare total effective:after two acrouses treatment,the t-otal sfficiency of treatment group was 90%,control group total effective rate was 73.3%(P<0.05).The effect of the treatment group is better than of the control group.Conclusion:1. The scalp acupuncture combined with local acupoint burr method can relieve hemifacial spasm intensity and frequency,and imprve the quality of life of patients.2. The scalp acupuncture combined with local acupoint burr method curative effect in the treatment of hemifacial spasm is superior to conventional acupuncture.
