| Objective: To investigate a comprehensive treatment for accommodative esotropia. Methods: Thirty-five patients with accommodative esotropia were analyzed. The pupils were all dilated with 1% atropine and the amblyopia eyes were all comprehensively trained. If the position of the esotropic eyes could not be corrected by spectacles and both eyes had similar visual acuity in six months, surgical intervention was taken to correct the position. Results: Twenty cases had corrected eye position through correction and eight cases were partially accommodative esotropia. Fifteen cases who could not be complete corrected by cure correction got surgical intervention.12 cases of them got normal eye positions and 1 cases were over corrected. After comprehensive treatment of 10 years, the cure rate of amblyopia was 82.9% Conclusion: The treatment for accommodative esotropia is a comprehensive course. |
