Background: Children’s amblyopia as common eye disease, it not only affect the monocular or binocular vision, but also seriously affect the visual function. Thus it reduces the children’s learning ability and life quality. The ametropic amblyopia is the main type of amblyopia, which can reach up to 63.87% of the total number of amblyopia.Ametropic amblyopia can cause abnormal accommodative function, and accommodative function abnormality can cause the change and exceptions of the refractive state. Thus the study of accommodative function of the ametropic amblyopia is meaningful. Objective: Ametropic amblyopia is one of the most common disease in the classification of amblyopia, also is a common and frequently disease in the pediatric eye disease. This research is observing the change of the accommodative function of the ametropic amblyopia children before and after the amblyopia training by the phoropter, and compared with normal children’s accommodative function. The research summarized the accommodative amplitude, accommodative facility, and accommodative lag for the ametropic amblyopia eyes before and after the amblyopia training, so as to further provide certain theoretical guidance of amblyopia correction. Methods:Clinical control experiment. We Selected the ametropic amblyopia children who is meeting the condition to accept amblyopia training. The 150 ametropic amblyopia children(with 300 eyes) include 72 boys and 78 girls.Their age are ranging from 8 to 12, and 8.60±0.20 years old on average. They are the amblyopia groups(group A1 、group B1 and group C1) befor the amblyopia training. The contrast group are 50 nomal children(with 100 eyes), which has 24 boys and 26 girs. Their average age is 8.90±0.30 years old(the normal contrast group). Then let 150 children with ametropic amblyopia to accept the amblyopia training for 3 months. After 3 months they become the amblyopia training group(group A2、group B2 and group C2). Therefore this research will be divided into amblyopia group(group A1 、group B1 and group C1), the amblyopia training group(group A2、group B2 and group C2), and the normal contrast group. We measured the accommodative amplitude(AMP) by the negative lens method, the accommodative flexibility by plus or minus mirror ball flip method, and the accommodative lag by the phoropter. Results: The accommodative function is as the following: The accommodative amplitude of group A1 is(12.17±1.60)D.The accommodative flexibility of group A1 is(5.63±2.07)times/min.The accommodative lag of group A1 is(1.62±0.27) D. The accommodative amplitude of group B1 is(11.34±1.40)D.The accommodative flexibility of group B1 is(5.43±1.93) times/min,.The accommodativee lag of group B1 is(1.67±0.31)D. The accommodative amplitude of group C1 is(10.26±1.80)D. The accommodative flexibility of group C1 is(5.18±1.45) times/min. The accommodative lag of group C1 is(1.70±0.27)D.The accommodative amplitude of group A2 is(14.30±1.25)D. The accommodative flexibility of group A2 is(6.61±2.36) times/min..The accommodative lag of group A2 is( 1.36±0.32) D. The accommodative amplitude of group B2 is(13.96±1.37)D. The accommodative flexibility of group B2 is(6.23±1.80)times/min. The accommodative lag of group B2 is(1.45±0.28)D. The accommodative amplitude of group C2 is(13.14±1.25)D. The accommodative flexibility of group C2 is(5.64±1.60) times/min.The accommodative lag of group C2 is(1.48±0.15)D.The accommodative amplitude of the contrast group is(15.34±1.47)D. The accommodative flexibility of the contrast group is(6.67±1.96)times/min.The accommodative lag of the contrast group is(0.23±0.18)D.The accommodative amplitude, accommodative facility, accommodative lag of all the groups are normally distributed.By the single factor analysis of variance, the accommodative amplitude of groups A1,B1 and C1 are compared, the difference has statistical significant(P=0.013).By the single factor analysis of variance, we compared the accommodative facility among groups A1, B1 and C1, there was no statistically significant difference(P=0.671).By the single factor analysis of variance, accommodative lag are compared among the groups A1, B1 and C1, there was no statistically significant difference(P=0.254).By the single factor analysis of variance, accommodative amplitude of A1,A2 and the contrast groups are compared, and the three groups have significant difference(P=0.035).By the single factor analysis of variance, we compared the accommodative facility among the 3 groups, there was no statistically significant difference(P=0.586).By the single factor analysis of variance, the accommodative lag are compared, which has significant difference(P=0.043).By the single factor analysis of variance, accommodative amplitude of B1,B2 and the contrast groups are compared, and the three groups have significant difference(P=0.024).By the single factor analysis of variance,we compared the accommodative facility among the 3 groups, there was no statistically significant difference( P =0.613).By the single factor analysis of variance, the accommodative lags are compared, which has significant difference(P=0.042).By the single factor analysis of variance, accommodative amplitude of C1,C2 and the contrast groups are compared, and the three groups have significant difference(P=0.015).By the single factor analysis of variance, we compared the accommodative facility among the 3 groups, there was no statistically significant difference(P=0.742).By the single factor analysis of variance, the accommodative lag are compared, which has significant difference(P=0.029).Conclusion:Compared with normal eyes of the same age children, the accommodative amplitude of amblyopia children’s eyes decreased before training, but it increased after training. After the amblyopia training, the change of the accommodative facility had no significant compared with normal eyes. Compared with the normal eyes of the same age children, the accommodative lag of amblyopia children’s eyes increased before training, but it decreased after training.
