Purpose:1.To explore the acupoint selection and compatibility rule of acupoint sticking therapy for asthma by data mining and cluster analysis of the acupoints involved in the modern documents about acupoint sticking therapy for bronchial asthma in the past 15 years; To reveal the characteristics of different acupoints and the best acupoint compatibility combination and provide scientific basis for the study of optimizing acupoint compatibility.2.To discover new acupoints prescription and verify its validity through further clinical studies, in order to find a long-term and safe way to help patients with asthma.Method:1. Document research: Retrieving clinical treatment RCT literature on acupoint sticking therapy for bronchial asthma published through 2000 to 2014 on Pumbed, Embase, CNKI,Wanfang Database and CSTJ Database and filtering the articles in accordance with inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. After acquiring the eligible documents, standardize their names and input them in an Excel table according to the 12 th Five-year Plan TCM Series “Acup Mox Science”. With the method of frequency statistics, we count the overall frequency of acupoint selection, after which we analyze the core compatibility by using the method of cluster analysis. At last we analyze and summarize the data mining results.2. Clinical research: 72 eligible asthma patients were chosen from acupuncture and respiratory clinic and randomly divided into two groups, with 36 patients in treatment group and the rest in control group. While the treatment group was treated by the stickers on the acupoints concluded from the data mining, the control group was treated with western medicine. Observations of individual’s symptoms, synthetically clinical symptoms and physical signs were recorded and graded by applying ACT score. Comparison of the results of the treatment group and the control group were made through SPSS 20.0 analysis.Result:1. 161 pieces of documents were retrieved via domestic and foreign database, among which 38 pieces were valid while the left 123 pieces were rejected according to the exclusion criteria. 25 acupoints were involved while 12 of them were applied more than 5 times. Aftercluster analysis, we formed the Point Selection mode that contains Feishu acupoint as the primary acupoint, and the other three groups of acupoints were used alternatively.(The first group, Dingchuan, spleen, Shenshu. The second group, Danzhong, Tiantu point, Dazhui. The third group, the heart shu, Geshu,Gaohuangshu).2. There were no statistical differences between the treatment group and the control group before the therapy on total symptom score(p>0.05); while with significantly statistical difference after the therapy(p<0.05). Compare individual symptoms cough are in addition to a significant difference(p<0.05), and the rest were not significantly different(p>0.05);Between the treatment group and the control group; treatment efficacy scores and ACT score were not significant differences(p>0.05); follow-efficacy scores and ACT score were significantly different(p <0.05)Conclusion:1.Data mining clustering analysis concluded that the technique of acupuncture is effective in the treatment of asthma, and the clinical acupoint combination optimization scheme provides a new way of thinking.2.Cough Dingchuanxue paste is an effective method to treatment asthma, especially good at improving TCM typical symptoms of the disease, its advantages includes stable long-term efficacy, practicality, non-toxic side effects and ease of promotion.
