Objective:To explore treatment of Ti Luo Hua Yu combined with laser treatment of ischemic branch retinal vein occlusion with macular edema in achieved effect and analysis mechanisms to provide effective clinical new way.Methods:Use medicine As traditional Chinese medical philosophy such as angelica, peach kernel, safflower, Eupolyphaga, Poria, etc.combined with laser for Class III reaction according to FFA results to cure 30 eyes of 30 patients whom sufferd from ischemic branch retinal vein occlusion with macular edema, every three months should be considered as a course of treatment, all patients continue traditional Chinese medicine for 2 courses,after each course review FFA.Results:1.After 2 courses,4 eyes(13.3%) were cured,5 eyes(16.7%) were excellent,14 eyes(46.7%) were effective,7 eyes(23.3%) were invalid, all cure rate was 76.7%.2,30 eyes’s sight of first diagnosed were 0.06-0.6, average 0.22±012, after 3 and 6 months’treatment,30 eyes’s sight were respectively 0.44±0.14,0.50±0.25. T test showed that P<0.05,the 3 and 6 months’treatment compared to the sight which first diagnosed,and the difference between the 6 months and 3 months were statistically significant.3.After the last follow-up,4 in 30 eyes were healed (13.3%); 8 eyes markedly(26.7%); 14 eyes effective (46.7%); four eyes invalid (13.3%); all response rate (cure rate+significant efficiency+efficiency) was 86.7%.4.30 eyes retinal foveal thickness of first diagnosed were 260-1100um, with an average of 624.34±155.2 nm,after 3 and 6 months, respectively,465.6±183.7um; 385.2±144.8 um.T test showed that P<0.05, retinal foveal thickness after 3 and 6 months’treatment compared with the first diagnost and the difference beween the 3 months and 6 months were statistics significance.5.30 eyes retinal foveal volume of first diagnosed were 9.7-16.2mm3, with an average of12.4±1.1mm3,after 3 and 6 months, respectively, 11.9±1.2 mm3;11±1.1mm3. T test showed that P<0.05, retinal foveal volume after 3 and 6 months’treatment compared with the first diagnost and the difference beween the 3 months and 6 months were statistics significance.6.Visually effectived patients whose Age below 60 years compared to whose above 60 years after chi-square test, P> 0.05, the difference was not statistically significant. 7.Visually effectived patients whose duration below 6 months compared to whose above 6 months after chi-square test, P> 0.05, the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusions:1.The method of Ti Luo Hua Yu combined laser have a certain effect on ischemic macular edema in branch retinal vein occlusion, laser can form a barrier, reduce capillary leakage, prevent macular leakage, improve edema in some extent; laser can also closed avascular area to prevent the formation of neovascular glaucoma; also closed neovascularization to prevent the incidence rate of vitreous hemorrhage. Exudative retinal hemorrhage can be absorpted fundamentally so as to improve macular edema, thus preventing complications and sequelae of ischemic macular edema in branch retinal vein occlusion caused by the mistreatment. Traditional Chinese medicine combined laser is a new method of ischemic macular edema in branch retinal vein occlusion, also an effective method for collaborating to maximize the efficacy and reduce the duration.2.Medicine can promote the absorption of retinal bleeding and oozing on the laser perioperation, reparate retinal burns and other adverse reactions may caused by laser, while enhancing the efficacy of laser synergistic improvement of visual function, reducing visual cell damage, enhance visual acuity, shorten the course.
