The Influence Factors Of Preventive HIV Medical Resource Use Barriers Of Men Who Have Sex With Men In Xinjiang

Objective:Master men who have sex with men(MSM) status of preventive HIV medical resources utilization in Xinjiang, including the voluntary HIV counseing and testing(VCT), insist to use condoms and acceptability of HIV prophylaxis, discussion on the factors influencing the use barriers of these resources.Methods: To recruit subjects in Urumqi city, Yining city, Hami city, Korla city, Kashi city in gathering of MSM, subjects completed a mobile version questionnaire on site after informed consent. The questionnaire included: general demographic data, preventive HIV medical resources utilization, HIV beliefs and behavior, social psychological status.Results:(1) Successfully collected 2444 questionnaires, VCT positively accounted for68.49%, insist to use condoms for nearly a year of anal sex accounted for 60.25%, willing to take HIV prevention drugs accounted for 91.00%.(2) The main factors for use barriers of VCT: minority nationality, sex role as "0.5", the number of male partners nearly 3months are more, the number of anal sex nearly 3 months are more, insist to use condoms when anal sex nearly 1 year, experienced social, family, friends, discrimination or humiliation, interpersonal trust score low.(3) The main factors for can not insist on condoms use: low education level, sex role as "the 0.5 partial 1", the number of anal sex nearly 3 months are more, do not like taking preventive drugs, interpersonal trust score high.(4) The main factors for do not willing to take HIV prevention drugs: personal monthly income is high, sex role as "1", not actively conducted free AIDS counseling,think that AIDS is not serious, think MSM crowd AIDS infection degree is low, the feeling that because it is MSM so subject to social, family, friends of discrimination or humiliation.Conclusion: VCT, insist to use condoms of MSM in Xingjiang aer not ideal, acceptability of HIV prophylaxis is well, consider a more diverse promotional activities, to improve the rate of preventive HIV medical resources utilization among MSM.
