Asarum heterotropoides Fr. Schmidt var. mandshuricum(Maxim.)kitag. is a weed of the Aristolochiaceae family, which is widely distributed in northeast of China. Asarum heterotropoides Fr. Schmidt var. mandshuricum(Maxim.)kitag. has been used as a traditional Chinese folk medicine for many years. Studies of the activites show that Asarum heterotropoides Fr. Schmidt var. mandshuricum(Maxim.)kitag. has scattered wind-heat activity. In this paper, experimental study on constituents from the extracts of Asarum heterotropoides Fr. Schmidt var. mandshuricum(Maxim.)kitag. By using various separation methods, including Silica gel column, RP silica gel column, high performance liquid chromatography and other means,6compounds were isolated From the Asarum heterotropoides Fr. Schmidt var. mandshuricum(Maxim.)kitag. and further analyzed by spectral identified the structure of these six compounds were:methyleugenol (Ⅰ), asarinin (Ⅱ), β-sitosterol (Ⅲ), daucosterol (Ⅳ), kaempferol (Ⅴ), kaempferol-3-glycosidase(Ⅵ).
